Blake's 7

Maybe Gareth Thomas (hasn't looked good in recent interviews)

If Channel 5's Best of Bad TV (filmed within the last month) is any indication, you're right there.

I know he's never going to be on the Deathlist, but I feel we should attract more attention to mine and Maryport's DDP favourite: Eric Lubbock, Lord Avebury. He was once Orpington Man after a shock byelection victory, now he's terminal myelofibrosis Lord! I'm assuming MPFC plans to pick him in 2016 again, and even if MPFC doesn't half a dozen others did, so no chance of being unique.

Like many old favourites on here, he blogs about his ill health. Unlike many, here are some samples of his work.

But I do think its useful to post experience on line, and all the stuff about the myelofibrosis since I was diagnosed in July 2011 is on this blog. I'm not 'allergic to death' as many people are according to Sophie, though it probably isn't a good subject for dinner table conversation. There are practical questions that do need to be answered in many families such as who gets which bits of furniture, books, pictures etc, and what are the ingredients of the funeral or memorial event. The fun idea of having a sweepstake on the date of my death was vetoed by Lindsay as in bad taste, but for the record I've always said it would be in or about July 2016. Quality of life is more important than quantity, and by that time if I'm still around the quality may be somewhat reduced.

Today we had lunch with Sue and Lyulph, and visited the family graveyard. Unsurprisingly, as its a small area within land owned by Bromley Council, it hasn't been looked after and is sadly unkempt. The memorial stones to my grandfather and some of his descendants were vandalised at some point in the past, and the ones that could be salvaged were moved into the church graveyard 100 m or so away. Now that I expect to be a new resident in the family patch within nine months or so, we thought it would be good to have it cleared.

Truly, the kind of spirit that the Deathlist cherishes. As for his idea of a sweepstake, I'm thinking June, based on his blood test results. He's still working...for now.

Great to see people embracing the Deathlist spirit!Surprisingly I haven`t heard of him despite having connections to his part of the country. He was Liberal Chief Whip for seven years surely that just about scapes it in DL terms.A Lord former MP and Former Chief Whip would certainly obit.

Heard nothing from September for that coffin blocker Helen Fawkes, but she finally breaks cover .

Theres something missing. Its winter, Christmas isnt far away and Im feeling really well. But there is a huge chemo shaped hole in my life.

Im not complaining. Its just so strange. I associate chilly weather with chemotherapy. Of having to wrap up warm to make the regular journeys to hospital. Coming home in the cold, feeling dazed and drugged up. Its hard to remember a time when I wasnt having treatment at this time of the year. When I started the last lot of chemo I was given wallet sized medical cards. I was told to have them with me at all times in case of a medical emergency. I no longer need to carry these.

I thought I would have a chemo-holiday over the summer, then just like the past couple of years, I would be back on a toxic drip by the autumn. But Im still on holiday!

I reckon that the very earliest I will have more chemo will be January. It will mean that I have had a WHOLE YEAR without any treatment. This has now become my chemo gap year.

My cancer is considered to be stable. The disease hasnt disappeared but its not doing much at the moment. Imagine this. when I was first diagnosed my cancer was like a sports car. It had the ability to spread fast with little warning. Conventional treatment managed to stop it for a while but the engine was still revving away. Then last year I went on a clinical trial. This chemo has traded in my cancer. Its gone from the sports car to a second hand banger. So thanks once again to these wonderful people.

As this has been my longest period without chemo cocktails I feel amazing. Yes I still get tired and somedays I have to cancel plans just to lie on the sofa. Occasionally I cant stop being sick. My magnesium levels remain shockingly low. But then Ive have more than 50 sessions of chemo over the years plus plenty of surgery. Youd expect there to be some problems connected with all the gruelling things which have been done to keep me alive. However its nothing at all compared to how horrifically ill Ive been.

Most of the time I feel really really great. If youve never had a serious illness, youll find it hard to understand quite how incredible it is to just feel well. Right now Im lucky enough to have a pretty normal life. More than that, some amazing things have happened during my gap year. I cherish this time and the special people that Im sharing it with.

So, a year without chemo.

Dropped from my lists faster than a very fast thing.

I hate to be disagreeable Ug but Philip is 94 and Bush is 91. I don't call that "round 100". I'd call 98 or 99 around 100.

Me too. As well as revelling in death, we shouldn't forget to be pleased when people defy the odds and recover, even if they are on your DDP team (which she isn't).

She is on mine but I think you have to be pretty cold hearted to actually root for your picks to die. There have been a few exceptions (Saddam Hussein comes to mind).

An idea: Martin Shkreli, the hedge fund manager who specialises on buying the rights to old drugs and then raising the prices by several thousand percent.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-34331761

Arrested for fraud.

Love the top trolling he did with the WuTang album.

Not sure out of this many people if they have been suggested, but here's two;

Barbara Eden, apparently in good health, but will be at least 85 in 2016.

Retired Brigadier General Charles E "Chuck" Yeager, almost 93, certainly famous enough for breaking the sound barrier in 1947 to receive wide-coverage of his passing.

Sorry folks for duplication of Aldiss, etc.; out of THIS many suggestions, though, it's bound to happen.

On Cartoonists, one who may not have been suggested is "Beetle Bailey" creator Mort Walker, almost 93. Walker started the daily comic strip in the 1950's, and the inept US Army Private has been featured in many various media over the decades since.

I have included Barbara in one of my teams for next year. Move along.....

How about Angie Dickinson (85, although some say she's older several years). The lady does not seem to appear in public often any longer, and is dressed so that one cannot get any real idea of her current appearance. Sorry if I'm stepping on anybody's ;ist "toes" with this suggestion.

How about Ronald Reagan's longest serving Secretary of State George P Schultz? He is 95 now and certainly notable enough for passing the DL criteria.

Still pretty active. Went to China a while back with Kissinger http://www.sfchronicle.com/politics/article/Five-questions-for-95-year-old-George-Shultz-6683996.php

If he keeps travelling there may be a chance.
