Too true. Cameron is biting off a chunk with this "stunt" - nice idea but I too fear a seat on a space shuttle flight would have been a safer ride!

In his defense I'd like to add that this has been done before, quite some time ago, so it's at least possible he'll do it and live. From a technical point of view this voyage is much simpler, and cheaper, than one to the moon. From the story I understand that his advisor knows a thing or two about this business, so I'd say his odds of survival are better than even.
