Not sure how reliable the source is but reportedly Jean-Pierre Coffe, French TV and radio personality and Weight Watchers frontman, has died aged 78. https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.purepeople.com%2Farticle%2Fjean-pierre-coffe-est-mort_a177463%2F1&edit-text=

He's on the DDP, so awaiting an obit.

Just reading about him now:

"... it was his heartfelt and usually comical rants against the growing impact of junk food on French eating habits that earned him a place in the hearts of many of the viewing public.

“This is sh*t!”, an accusation levelled by Coffe at various sub-standard food products, became something of a catchphrase, while a slew of memorable television appearances caught the public’s attention – not least when hurling industrially produced charcuterie at a TV host in 1984 in one particularly passionate fit of culinary rage."

A duo of ailing Iranians for your consideration:

Singer Mohammed-Reza Shajarian has recently publicized his battle with kidney cancer, which he apparently was first diagnosed with fifteen years ago.

Filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami is in hospital, recovering from cancer surgery.

It took me 0.000000000000000000000001 seconds to 'consider' them; coincidentally their obit chances.

I think they'll both obit. That filmaker won the Palme D'Or at Cannes.

Two almost guaranteed Guardian obits.

a question for Germans and/or people who have info....what's the status of Heino, is he still vertical or did he cross over?

Seems to be doing fine other than he also appears to have done a Pat Boone on us and (visually) turned a bit metal. Perhaps this is due to Ritchie Blackmore outing himself as a Schlager and Heino fan? Anyway, there are concert dates until September of this year listed on his website so it's probably safe to assume there's nothing wrong with him. Of course, we thought that about Lemmy...

I thought he's dead...saw some of my granddads records and he was all over the place and I declared him dead for no reason.....but he's 77 according to Wiki so....I know I'll regret this but he's obviously blind, judging by that look on his Home page

Bata Živojinović, very famous Serbian actor

if someone wants to add him to future lists

The fact you had to tell us he was very famous negates the statement.

Looking at his imdb he has been in a lot of popular films in Eastern Europe and in Slavic countries although his chances for obits in english speaking countries look slim.

Well he is. I'm not twisting words. If I say famous then I mean famous. But whatever.....I can't expect any good word from this community

I just had a look to see if he was in Pretty Village, Pretty Flame which is the only Serbian film I've seen and indeed he was.

I didn't know that movie was even released outside ex yu. Balkan movies have a lot of sexual humor, swearing and well, sex. Crazy. :)

German TV presenter and "sex expert" Erika Berger has died at age 76.

During the 80s and early 90s she has had her own TV call-in show "Eine Chance für die Liebe" ("A chance for love").

Later on she wrote books about sex related topics and presented (love) horoscopes within a German morning show.
