There was no need to get shirty, I was only trying to help the administrators find where to put the post - I apologise. I'm not surprised nobody ever joins the forum.

Not true. I seem to have joined.

Of course, now I'm not a guest, the curse of my posts wont effect people. So I can mention John Demjanjuk here without him dying in the next 24 hours.

In that case, a few well-chosen words to point that out may well have prevented anyone getting shirty.

However, there's no need to get shirty over people getting shirty.

While I'm here, can I just point out that we're quite well populated for a forum that nobody ever joins.

Merry Christmas ;)

I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be.

I like Paul Smith's shirtiness, but if he dies today, have I posted this in the wrong place.

It seems ridiculous to me that a forum headed 'Dead of 2010' does not in fact mean the Dead of 2010 but really seems to mean 'The Dead of 2010 who are not on other threads'

Ninth Year on DDP: Feng Shui Pig; = 52nd in 2008; = 86th in 2009; dismal 315th in 2010; = 90th in 2011; = 85th in 2012; = 184th in 2013 [but I was robbed, Cornforth died but no obit :( ]; 287th in 2014; = 313rd in 2015

2016 DDP: Herman Wouk; Billy Graham; Joost van der Westhuizen; Harper Lee; Vera Lynn; Joao Havelange; Hosni Mubarak; King Bhumibol Adulyadej; Zsa Zsa Gabor; Betty Cuthbert; Clive James; Ryan O'Neal; David Rockefeller; Queen Sirikit of Thailand; Richard O'Sullivan; Clive Derby Lewis; Richard Adams; Martin Crowe; Glen Campbell; Boutros Boutros Ghali

I've only just seen this. That is a shock - my son (aged 5 1/2) has been perfecting the Boney M "Mary's Boy Child" dance this Christmas (and performing it for everyone's amusement at any given opportunity)...he'll be sad when I tell him in the morning...
