This thread will either run and run or die on its arse.

Im just flicking through Ebay ( as you do) and it appears to be the Mecca for the illiterate, lazy and f'uckwitt.

Some of the spellings defy gravity, let alone belief.

I shall start with this one: "oridgeanle"

Now I have to give credit where it is due, they have desperately tried to grasp the phonetics of the word in order to have some kind of idea of how it actually looks in print.

10 points and a copy of Razzle if you worked out that they, bless em, were trying to spell "original"

In closing, I do remember an article on the local news many years ago, suggesting that peoples spellings were the main reasons why post got misrouted/lost ( the fact that some of our Posties are lazy cnuts didnt come into it) and they showed some examples.

10 points and a copy of Escort " Readers wives" edition to the person who can translate this factual gem from said news article.

Ready? Here goes: Arijaber

Brilliant.

You can keep the copy of Razzle, it might help you regards an earlier request. However going on phonetics I'd hazard a guess they meant originally not original.

Arijaber, Norwich

As I'm on a roll today (with Ludo) I'll take a stab at Harwich Harbour. If I'm correct, there's no need for the Escort Reader's Wives, but I'll take the 10 points - Guinness please!:lol:

It's one thing to spell apostrophe, another thing to use it. Read my helpful book and the day will come when you too will be able to string together a sentence.

I wasn't going to be so rude to him but since you've been moved to state the obvious I have to concur with you. Thankyou for clarifying it though. I'm sure it's been noted by others.

Never mind the Slade albums, did you used to have THAT haircut? Did you wear those back crippling boots?

Come on Mary, do tell!

PS: My Mum and Dad took me to see their Film "Flame" when it came out back in, er, a long time ago.

Cool.

Not quite a spelling mistake but my daughter spotted that the sex shop in Worcester, aka 'PRIVATE SHOP', has lost so many letters from its sign that it now reads

' I ATE HO '

No doubt the pictures can be purchased inside.....

Some wag at my local train station has remove/painted over certain letters on the following notice in the car park.

"Don't leave your
