Liza Minnelli, the last survivor of this photo.
What are heavy? Sea-sand and sorrow;
What are brief? Today and tomorrow;
What are frail? Spring blossoms and youth;
What are deep? The ocean and truth.

Have just been watching the Band of Brothers series again, that, apart from portraying the Brits as blithering idiots or in minor support roles and sometimes both, is one of the best pieces of war drama ever made. I was looking up Easy Company on Wiki and there are quite a few still left alive. I think Richard Winters would get a UK obit.

The living ones I could find at first glance, ordered by birth. I'm not going to go in depth, this is just what I saw from the Wiki article for Band of Brothers. Anyone who has more can expand.

Frank Perconte (b. March 10 1917)
Richard Winters (b. January 21 1918)
Joseph A. Lesniewski (b. August 29 1920)
Lynn "Buck" Compton (b. December 31, 1921)
Donald Malarkey (b. 1921)
William Guarnere (b. April 28 1922)
Edward Heffron (b. May 16, 1923)
Darrell "Shifty" Powers (b. 1923)

Maryport is a disappointment for which there is no cure, but the annual Deathrace thread hereabouts provides welcome distraction.

There are four survivors of the San Francisco earthquake still breathing and they got worldwide news coverage when they came together this week. So when we're down to one s/he might be a shoo-in pick for a few dead pool points.

With the death of Sally Ride, only eight people mentioned in the lyrics to "We Didn't Start the Fire" are still alive: Queen Elizabeth II, Brigitte Bardot, Fidel Castro, Chubby Checker, Bob Dylan, John Glenn, Doris Day and Bernie Goetz.

I'd guess that at least five of those are gonna outlive Billy Joel.

I would go with 3 (QEII, BB & Mr Zimmermann). I will freely admit that I have no idea who Bernard Goetz is.

Looking through Wikipedia for old American politicians, I took an interest in surviving members of presidential cabinets. The last member of the Kennedy administration died in 2010, but there are still a few members of the Johnson and Nixon administrations kicking around.

Johnson (1963 - 1969)
Attorney General (1967 - 1969) - Ramsey Clark (Born. 1927) (Currently employed by dictators on trial)
Postmaster General (1968 - 1969) - W. Marvin Watson (Born. 1924)
Secretary of Transportation (1967 - 1969) - Alan Stephenson Boyd (Born. 1922) (The first Transportation Secretary ever)

Nixon (1969 - 1974)
Secretary of State (1969 - 1977) - Henry Kissinger (Born. 1923)
Secretary of the Treasury (1972 - 1974) & Secretary of Labor (1969 - 1970) - George P. Shultz (Born. 1920) (Also Reagan's Secretary of State)
Secretary of Defense (1969 - 1973) - Melvin R. Laird (Born. 1922)
Secretary of Defense (1974 - 1975) - James R. Schlesinger (Born. 1929)
Secretary of Commerce (1972 - 1973) - Peter G. Peterson (Born. 1926)
Secretary of Commerce (1973 - 1975) - Frederick B. Dent (Born. 1922)
Secretary of Labor (1970 - 1973) - James D. Hodgson (Born. 1915) (Oldest living cabinet official)
