I'll cop for having such an interest in Rachil Jonze, who might just be this year's Ms Groves.
Similarly Ian McNicol may afford us that combination of brief media coverage and ongoing ranter fire we've come to know and love over the years.
and
Dawn Hughes' illness was the subject of television coverage as part of Channel 4's 'Mummy Diaries.' She's also made appearances on BBC television and the BBC web site, her husband works for the Beeb.
Then there's everyone's favourite pin up: Winnie Langley. I took a long-shot punt on her for the DDP mainly because I thought if she went the various papers who'd covered her 100th birthday wouldn't be able to resist running that great picture again.
Anyone else gonna cop for long shot picks before OoO and NAP do their duty and reveal all?

Maryport is a disappointment for which there is no cure, but the annual Deathrace thread hereabouts provides welcome distraction.

DEATH be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadfull, for, thou art not so,
For, those, whom thou think'st, thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poore death, nor yet canst thou kill me.

Um.....how do I break this news to you MaryPortO'FunCity? I never heard of any of the folks you mentioned.
For my own I of course must submit Unkie Wilfie (Wilford Brimley) if we can somehow slip some sugar into his insulin injections it will all be done. Or maybe change his insulin into gin or vodka? Maybe not.
THat Pope guy over in The Badican looks about ready for death.....although he looked much more so before they threw that top heavy hat on his head. Come to think of it he's starting to look healthy.
I think for a real long shot we might as well throw in the towels on the two tenors....Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras.

Dooce, for example, was a new one on me. Impressed to see so many teams get unique picks in such a crowded deadpool. Win or lose, we all stand to be educated.

If she died in 2009, the national press would do an article for sure.

Also Feziwe Radebe, 33, wife of former Leeds legend Lucas Radebe, is suffering from cancer again, her chances don't look too good.

Well......that's going to open up the deathlist, aint it? We might as well include all teenagers in the UK (predominenty Peckham - obviously). Given the UK's "yoots" slavishly follow the US, it's only a matter of time before one of these nutters takes his homework (ie a loaded Uzi) into school.
Thank God for the power of socialist teachers in the 70s (irony, by the way). I just hope that they are selected by the feral gangs for a particulary BAD example of violence.

Yeh, yeh, I know. But she'd count on the HPDP if picked.

The old-age pension goes along way for some, 3,500 a month! Avoided the economic crisis that's for sure.

Deffo press coverage as and when. Would qualify under 08 DDP rules. Be interesting to see if he'd do the same next year.

Couldn't you have kept this between ourselves?
Seriously though, a decent punt (9 points for age + 3 for suicide)....
"We're today's scrambled creatures, locked in tomorrow's double feature
Heaven's on the pillow, its silence competes with hell
It's a twenty-four hour service, guaranteed to make you tell
And the streets are full of press men
Bent on getting hung and buried
And the legendary curtains are drawn 'round Baby Bankrupt
Who sucks you while you're sleeping
It's the theatre of financiers
Count them, fifty 'round a table
White and dressed to kill."

Mr Odstock has already said famous for being ill are allowed. I suggest you read his rules & post before being so silly.
Nice to see you are not changing your tune & choosing sick nobodies.
