I think there's a fundamental flaw in the way the Death List is made. Most of your 50 people are in their 80s and 90s. You're assuming that because they're old, they're going to die. But, if someone has got to 80, 85, 90 without drugging themselves to death or getting any of the real nasties, the cancers, the neurological stuff, they're probably going to go on for a while yet. You should have more of a mixture of the geriatric and the younger extreme lifestylers. I'm being wise after the event here obviously, but Amy Winehouse should have been in the list for the past five years. Doherty should be on the list.

Back to Black was good, but she should have got a lot better. She had talent. Stupid waste.

I was thrown off this forum for posting too many interesting and entertaining posts, thus embarrassing less imaginative posters than myself. If you feel this is not fair or democratic and indeed infringes my basic human rights under the United Nations laws please let the moderators and admin know.Thanks.

Wait till Thatcher or Mandela dies , you'll know all about it then!

Here in the states? Mandela and Thatcher will get maybe a week of coverage. But a drug-addled pop singer will get coverage like this:

All depends if there is a slow news-week.

Got a text from a mate this morning who viewed her as a pin-up :P ;), he said " RIP A. Winehouse - should have gone to rehab."

Always a shame to see a young life wasted, irrespective of whether you like her music or not (which I didn't. In fairness I wouldn't know more than one of her songs if it bit me on the posterior). And seeing as I took her off my DDP list, ;) I am very saddened by the news.

Anyways, The Guardian are saying that "sources" are stating it was a drugs overdose. Not very surprising.

It will only linger in the news beyond this weekend if they find out she was murdered or something like that

In retrospect I can't believe that I didn't have her on my list when she reached the "magic" age of 27. Major oversight.

How long until Adele reaches 27 - perhaps she'll eat herself to death and take that turgid faux-soul with her.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha... why am I laughing???? ;)

22 DDP-ers, had her, including 2 jokers.

TMIB (if it were he) hit the nail firmly on the head with her bio if the reports are to be believed...

Quote

Young British singer/songwriter with a powerful soul voice, but - more interestingly from a DDP point of view - manic depression, eating disorders and a tendency to consume industrial quantities of booze and drugs. Indeed, her 2006 top 10 single 'Rehab' was about her refusal to get help for this.

2013 DDP Team: John Bardon; Dora Bryan; Emile Ford; John Glenn; Eldon Griffiths; Bernard Haitink; Gerald Harper; Patricia Knatchbull; Francis Matthews; Sheila Mercier; Les Munro; Pete Murray; Peter O'Toole; I. M. Pei; Nosher Powell; Dudley Simpson; Mike Stoller; Margaret Thatcher(Joker); Peter Wyngarde; Jimmy Young.

2013 DDP Theme Team 1: Ronald Atkins, Ron Braunstein, Ron Brown, Ronald Chesney, Ronald Coase, Ronnie Walter Cunningham, Ronnie Dawson, Ronald Baron Fearn, Ron Flowers, Ronnie Gilbert, Ronald Harwood, Ronald Hines, Ron Isley, Ronnie Masterson, Ronnie Moore, Ronald Pellar, Ronnie Ronalde, Ron Smith, Ronald Stevenson, Ron Suart (Joker)

2013 DDP Theme Team 2: Roger Alton, Roger Angell, Sir Roger Bannister, Roger Cook, Roger Corman, Roger Daltrey, Roger Ebert, Roger Etchegaray, Sir Roger Moore, Sir Roger Norrington, Sir Roger Penrose(Joker), Roger Protz, Roger Sainsbury, Roger Sloman, Roger Smith, Roger Spottiswood, Roger Squires, Roger Staubach, Roger Taylor, Roger Whitaker

Deathrace 2013 Team: Glen Campbell, Henry Kissinger, George Shultz (Joker), Fidel Castro, Stan Lee, Helmut Schmidt, Nelson Mandela, Jerry Lewis, Sidney Poitier, Maximilian Schell, Fats Domino, BB King, Ray Harryhausen, Pierre Cardin, Jiroemon Kimura .

2013 Hartlepool Deadlypool Team: George HW Bush, Jiroemon Kimura, Carl Reiner, Vera Lynn, Kirk Douglas, Patty Andrews, Al Molinaro, BB King, Eydie Gorme, Efrem Zimbalist Jr..

I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be.

It may have been OoO or Rude Kid as she first entered the DDP in 2007...

22 is way down on 2010, when 64 teams chose her.

Only one UK newspaper makes her death the main story on their front page today (the ever reputable Daily Star). She has also fell out of the trending topics on Twitter both globally and in the UK after less than a day. That's gotta be a disappointment for her. Jacko stayed top of the TTs for something like three weeks.
