Credit to the Baggies for a great start to the season, Villa have been floundering a bit since O'Neill left but I wouldn't exactly say they're fighting relegation yet. They're one of 6 or 7 candidates for 2 relegation places in my opinion, but the 'fighting relegation' talk is 3 months too early.

I am not a big football fan.

However from an outsiders perspective it seems to me that the Championship is a much more exciting competition than the Premiership in as much as any of the teams could conceivably win or lose it at the start of the season. Whereas I would not expect anyone to confidnetly claim that a team outsise of the big 4 will be in with a shout at the Premiership title.

It just seems a shame for the fans of the Championship teams that the prize is to spend the next season watching your team get thrashed by a bunch of overpaid foreigners.

Light blue touch paper and retire.

If it was near the end of the game, that may explain it to a certain extent.

I heard a rumour today. Henning Berg managed Blackburn. If he was I must of blinked and missed it. That must of only been a couple of months at the most he was in charge. How can he have time to change a team in that short space of time

I guess Rafa will be brickin' it now. He's been there about 4-5 weeks now?

Fantastic to see 56 year old Rab Douglas in goals for Dundee the other day,his effort for Hooper's goal was superlative.

Chester sweep back to the top of the Blue Square North with a 3-0 win at Vauxhall Motors. Teams have so much more interesting names down in the non-leagues.

Fair season for us as we reach the halfway point - played 22, won 20, drawn 1, lost to Boston Utd.

McNallydocious.
