Here's the kung-fu kick that has got the Khazakstan player banned for life

The kick comes suddenly but is repeated in slo-mo just afterwards

Venlo is a place best avoided. Chock-full of German drug buyerstourists, scene of the infamous Venlo Incident and to top it off: birthplace of Geert MussertWilders.

regards,
Hein

Venlo is a bit of a dump.

Actually it is literally quite a good dump as when I lived in Mönchengladbach I used to visit the junkyard in Venlo to get spare parts for my car, possibly the only good thing about the place.

Hardly in the same league (heh heh) as the Kung Fu kick, but this is the worst missed sitter I've seen in ages.

Maryport is a disappointment for which there is no cure, but the annual Deathrace thread hereabouts provides welcome distraction.

I see Wrexham got humped in the 1st leg of the play offs 3-0. (Sorry if I spoilt it honez) No doubt Harrymcnallieswhotsit will be rejoicing. You both may meet again in another 2 seasons.

always the second leg, eh honez?

I just hope it's not the last game (ever) for the once mighty Wrexham. I really fear for the club's future with the off-field circus that's going on at the moment.
I'm hoping for a better, at least credible, performance now the pressure's off.

The wonderful world of FIFA:

Sepp Blatter, FIFA president for 12 years unopposed is challenged for presidency by Bin Hammam of Oman.

Kingmaker in these elections is the belligerent vice-President, Jack Warner.

One of Blatter's acolytes, Chuck Blazer, makes a series of allegations of corruption towards Warner and Hammam.

Hammam counters with allegations towards Blatter of improper conduct.

FIFA announce investigation into both sets of allegations.

Hammam withdraws from FIFA presidency election.

FIFA exonerate Blatter.

Blatter wins presidency unopposed.

All fair and proper, I hope you agree...

Of course it is fair. One man... one vote... one candidate. That way there noone can vote for the wrong crook by mistake. FIFA make Nigerian elections look bona fide.

I loved the clip of ol Sepp getting the flowers for his acceptance speech. I thought he was going to well up in surprise - all oscars style. And some of the crap he spewed out was gilt edged. He is one deluded dickhead that is definite

Exeter City have just signed goalie Lenny Pidgeley, a move creating much mirth amongst fans of his former club in Carlisle. The man's ability to "do a job" for clubs based miles away from London has been compromised in the past by his dual fondness for driving flash cars and drinking alcohol.

Keep us posted DDT, the consensus at Carlisle could be summed up with the words "Waste of space."

I can't wait for next season's Merseyside Derby!

Liverpool v Tranmere Rovers.

I'm seriously tempted to bet on Exeter playing Liverpool in the Championship next season. Very reasonable odds at 294/1.

Exeter have just drawn Liverpool at home in the 2nd round of the Carling Cup. :D :skull: :)

And Deadline Day in the transfer market, eh. Makes Tripoli look like a wet Sunday in Chipping Sodbury. If you're an adherent of the nutters at Sky Sports, that is.
