Totally! Once people reach a certain age, that thought must be the elephant in the room every time a birthday comes around.

Happy Birthday Mr. Mandela

Nah! Cant be arsed.
This is true my form is something odd,
But blaming me is blaming God;
Could I create myself anew
I would not fail in pleasing you.

He's just making up for lost time, that's all...
Derby Dead Pool showrunner...

"We're today's scrambled creatures, locked in tomorrow's double feature
Heaven's on the pillow, its silence competes with hell
It's a twenty-four hour service, guaranteed to make you tell
And the streets are full of press men
Bent on getting hung and buried
And the legendary curtains are drawn 'round Baby Bankrupt
Who sucks you while you're sleeping
It's the theatre of financiers
Count them, fifty 'round a table
White and dressed to kill."

David Bowie - We Are The Dead (1974)

Sadly, I believe it will be his last.

Happy birthday Madiba nonetheless!

Obviously he will die on a significant anniversary connected to the death of a British Prime Minister?

I thought we had established that?

Or, he could die on the same day as a British PM, namely Thatcher.

This would be the only way for her to avoid getting undue and undeserved attention in death.

What a clever idea, would be just like Princess Di/Mother Teresa in 1997, best of all would chalk up 2 more DL successes!

I'm going to make a bold and possibly foolish prediction now.I predict that Lady Thatcher and Nelson Mandela will both be gone by the end of t his year.Feel free to laugh at me if you want, but I'm sticking to it

Now the first white friend of Nelson Mandela has died. How many more deaths of his close friends and colleagues can he bear in his condition?

If he managed to get over the death of his granddaughter last year, I'm pretty sure he can cope with deaths of elderly friends.

Given that he is 93, he is probably used to the idea of his comtemporaries dying...
