It might just have been a glitch in the forum software, unrelated to the chatbox. I'll contact DL Tecnical Working Group when it happens again. It looks to me that the search utility is confused too. regards, Hein As I mentioned earlier, GR did say that the Live Chat was only compatible with Invision v1.3 and above, this board is v1.2 But it seemed to work OK initially, it now looks like the software manufacturers were right and it's causing malfunctions to this version of Invision. scsibear 4 Posted February 7, 2006 Yup, the java based chat will be causing the lag regarding the forum if they are running on the same IP. Chats can use a hell of a lot of bandwidth depending how many people are using it and because of it's refresh rate, put that together with the amount of users on the forum = LAG! A better idea would be not to use Java at all and use your own IRC server instead, less overhead, and you can vet the users as you see fit.
