Very interesting site MPFC, I'm sure it will answer a few 'pub quiz' type questions that make their way round the workplaces.

Ya gotta hate it when your hard core rock'n'roll lifestyle is brought to an abrupt end by a farming/gardening accident. And them'uns died young, too.

I would just hate to die in a gardening accident.
And if they say the best die young then I better be watching my steps.

Indeed, a teacher at my old school died in his garden. There were two theories:
1: He had a heart attack.
2: He electrocuted himself while cutting the grass.
Although theory two is rather humerous, I think I believe the first....

Unless, of course, the heart attack was brought on by the electrocution.

Maybe it was a garden troll that frightened the teacher?
The teacher then suffered a massive heart attack and fell to
die in his\her garden?

friend of my mums died in a gardening accident. was putting a new bit of glass on the roof of his greenhouse, over balanced and fell right through it, smashing the rest of the glass in the process and severing a main artery. poor sod bled to death.
thought it was supposed to be a relaxing pastime !!

Vittorio Brambilla, a racing driver (famous for crashing his car as he took his only Grand Prix win), survived many a crash, including a serious head injury in 1978, only to die, whilst trimming his hedges in the garden. Dangerous places these gardens.
I had a science teacher who died in the middle of a paper aeroplane competition. Now that's unusual one. Universially hated by all students he was.
None of this has anything to do with dead pop stars has it?!

Nope, but in the absence of a gardening and paper aeroplane fatality thread, this is as good a place to put it as any.

F**k's sake! Start one, then we could have cultural exchange visits because the posters on the pop star thread could drop in to the gardening one and discuss that much over-looked thrash outfit: Lawnmother Deth.

Hey! You're the one who posted the link to that site in the first place! All I did was point out that there was a 'farming' category inamongst categories such as 'inhalation of own vomit', 'heroin', and 'mysterious circumstances'. If I were a rock star, I know which category I wouldn't want to be in. No need to get snippy.
