Fats to perform at Jazz Festival

Yep, I'm convinced as well now. On his lazy-bed rather than on his death-bed.

Dylan looks surprisingly old in the photo, though admittedly I haven't seen a recent picture of him in quite sometime.

Anyhow, as if you needed more conformation, I heard on the radio the other day that Fats will be playing a concert in San Diego as well. Looks like he's got a full schedule for himself.
Twunt Master Series (August 2007 - January 2008) (January 2008 - June 2008) (July 2008 - April 2009) (April 2009 - January 2010)

For a guy who is about 65 - I disagree with your comment of him looking old,

Bob Dylan should have many years left within him. <_<

Like other ancient singers who seem anything but retired like Frankie Laine should be kept out of Deathlists spotlight for the time being.

the thrilled singer said: "It don't take a lot to be happy."

The above from the linked article. If there was any justice, or a fair contract at the right time, he wouldn't have needed the bung from the musicians' charity to repair his home.

Him or BB King next year. But I just saw King on the Rock N Roll hall of fame the other night, he was playing with Eric Clapton who doesn't look like Eric Clapton anymore. You would think he is a wealthy business man who owns a bank or something.

It was emotional. There were a lot of people crying," said Quint Davis, of the city's Jazz and Heritage Festival.

From the story linked above. Notably the one thing nobody says is that it was any good. A lot of 'great to see him back' not much of 'he's still got it.'

For my honesty I doubt you would find me tuning in on Fats Domino but 'His return' meant more then his actual 'performance' Your points are very clear but you don't want to take anything out of context. But obviously on a come back the last thing anyone will say is 'Please let your blues career just drop dead'

From the article:

"Domino's house, studio and office are currently under reconstruction"

That is a clear example of 'tempting fate'

It aint over till Fats stops singing.

So, Herbert and Dino received now their first comments for 2008. Fats Domino is now one of three people left, who received their last comment in 2007, together with Dead Throat and Jake Lamorte...

Is Fats still in town? If so, and if he chooses to stay, he could be in for another batering if Hurricane Gustav has anything to say about it.

Personally I think its unlikely that he would choose to stay and ride out the storm, but you never know...

DDP 2016: Rene AngelilJohn Bain, Bonnie Brown, Martin Crowe, Jenny Diski, Bob Ellis, Joey Feek (J), Rob Ford, Kate Granger, Kristin Hallenga, Gregory Hudgens, Clive James, Bruce Langhorne, Howard Marks, Jose Manuel Mourinho Felix, Reverend Sandy McDonald, Miriam Defensor Santiago, Ian St. John, Kris Travis, Joost van der Westhuizen

Basically the Stoke of deadpooling...

DDP 2015 (=11th), 2014 (=8th), 2013 (=15th), 2012 (=7th), 2011 (4th), 2010 (=23rd); Winner of Inverse Dead Pool 2011

Antoine (a.k.a. Fats) who as recently as February 26 turned 82 doesn't seem to be making any waves healthwiise, although still broken up by the woeful passing of his old pal Bobby Charles, who was a few years younger than our sugar man.

His health seems decent, having survived Katrina and the waves :sicktherm: I'm sincerely hoping we can get another 29 years from him.
