According to today's Guardian, Magnus Magnusson has been in hospital for some emergency surgery - anyone know any more?

I've found this link to a news story, but it stills seems fairly vague as to the exact nature of the problem.

When he does go, will they be sending him off in a blazing longship from Shetland? Maybe strapped to the black chair?

I meant to post this too when I heard about it.

SpaceBat - I have some bad news regarding the immortality of Magnus. Basically, like, he isn't.

We've started, so we'll finish.

'I've departed, so I'm finished' ?
life, n : the whim of several billion cells to be with you for a while.

Dodo deado, Dodi deado, Di deado, Dando deado ... Surely Dido's looking dodgy ?

Despite the high cost of living, it still seems popular.

Oh I dunno.

It's my plan to live forever.

So far the plan is working just fine.

That doesn't sound too critical to me. He could well live for another ten years or so...

I wonder how Bamber Gascoigne's doing these days (NO CONFERRING)... he's 72 years of age.

...and speaking of Magnuses... I'm presuming Dr Magnus Pike (quite possibly the maddest scientist of them all), is flailing his arms no longer.
Can anyone confirm he's definitely gone to the great singularity in the sky?

A statement from the family said the presenter was undergoing tests, but was "in good fettle".

Hmm, not about to alter me deadpool picks on that basis. DL 2008 mind....

Maryport is a disappointment for which there is no cure, but the annual Deathrace thread hereabouts provides welcome distraction.

You're thinking of William G Stewart

It is a very vague article, would be nice if they told us what form of cancer he is being treated for

A good line never dies
It just smells funny
