I think backing early rock and rollers up to and including the British Invasion, will be a fairly safe choice over the next few years as their lifestyles catch up with them. Some other comments: "Sumner Redstone-Like Kirk Kerkorian last year maybe not a big enough name" - I think he is well-known enough for the list. I am certainly well aware of him. "Jacques Rivette-b. 1928-One of the last living Directors of the French New Wave" - great choice! Who else is still around besides Godard? gcreptile 10,211 Posted October 28, 2015 I think the gender gap needs to be closed somewhat, there need to be more women on the list (especially since the mortality rate for women is just as high as for men - 100%). And I believe that an appropriate criterion for "Death List eligibility" should be a BBC obit in most cases. But putting those two together is hard. Eva Marie Saint is an obvious possibility. Joni Mitchell, probably not, if the reports about her recovery are correct. Maybe Imelda Marcos, or Gina Lollobrigida. Outside chances for Vanessa Redgrave or Honor Blackman. I like how this year saw a certain decline in the names that were solely on the list because of their age - for one, we can replace them with other names prominent and old enough, especially Hugh Hefner. Maybe also Sir Neville Marriner, Obligatory random names to increase diversity: Sir Jeremy Morse, Judith Kerr, Boutros-Boutros Ghali, Jihadi John, Lord Carrington, Albert Uderzo Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

He had a minor heart op last year. Reading news in autograph hunting circles, he was replying to fanmail in January, but by April this year he was "unable to accept autograph requests any longer". This chimes with rumours a while ago on Twitter he was in poor health, and the Daily Mails report from May that Glenn had suffered a minor stroke. I wouldn't exactly jump him ahead of the queue, though. Whilst I agree with a few of those outright, Lamotta has been on every single Deathlist since 2004 and Castro has raked up 4 straight appearances and 12 in total so I only see one way in which both will leave the list. They seem to keep the long timers on now, after missing out on Patrick Moore.
