Mr Bland is suffering from lung cancer which has spread to his adrenal glands and his spinal column, he is not expected to live more than a few months anyway. Oklahoma Attorney General Seth Branham is not exactly charitable in his appraisal of the situation. ""He claims that because he's got cancer, that's a reason to let him go ahead and live a year or so and die on his own terms. The unnerving bit being that they openly discussed the way they help people suffering terribly with mental illness. I've no idea how sincere they are or how bad the suffering of the mentally ill cases but: it is - of course - possible that we have closet Shipmans on one side helping the feckless and suicidal on the other. Dignitas, Wiki page. Not that I'm suggesting anyone take it up. I mean, it's £3000 a pop with them. Just come to West Cumbria, order a Campari and Soda, eyeball the biggest guy in the bar, say 'What's your f****n' problem?' and you'll never need to worry again. Meanwhile, there was a similar incident in another town in Buenos Aires province when a baby girl was born prematurely. Doctors tried to revive her, but she was declared dead shortly afterwards and the body taken to the morgue. But several hours later, she was found crying.
