I don't care the readership of the sources, but if you can't get ONE goddamn obit to be printed in the English language--face it, you were a nobody. I would accept a union newsletter from Ukranian whale bone carvers published in Kyoto, so long as it's in English. That, my friend, was Fitz' undoing and no way in hell am I recognizing Francaphone newsprint beyond its bird cage lining ability. But hey, whatever rule works for y'all. Who said Le Monde was a widely respected paper, the editors at Le Monde who wrote the Wiki article?

The rule doesn't specify that a QO has to be in English.

Maybe not, but I bet it will next year

Even my low hangers need that and the HPDP is a Jaguar next to the Deathrace Smart Car

4 teams get a haul of point from having Fidel Castro on the books.

Not hard to judge that he scores bonus points for crimes against humanity. Only debate about how many victims there were. Wide range, over a long period shows over 2000 political opponent killings before 1967. Some accounts stretch to over 15,000 dead.

Top of the class is Dr Zorders 45 basic points and 27 bonus points.

Book bags 35.1 basic points and 21 bonus points.

The Unknown Man gains 25.3 basic points and 15 bonus points and,

Uschi gets 25.2 basic points and 15 bonus points.

33rd Leader Board

What about teams for next year? I'm thinking of placing a team soon, but I realise RA needs to get his team together before it all kicks off.

Perhaps you could indicate when we can start PM'ing over to you, RA. Cheers.

Entries for 2017 open at noon GMT on Boxing Day - 26th December 2016. No limit on number of teams. Valid entries are advised to PM me (a list of ten names and upto 2 subs) after this timeframe opens and the micro points will be organised thereafter with teams ordered in ascending micro point value.

Should valid Teams advised to me during these last few days of 2016 have team members die before 2017 starts then this time they will not only be able to advance from their subs bench the due replacement, gain full relevant points, plus gain extra double bonus scores and get the chance to replenish their subs bench.

During the 2017 (should we not all die in the coming zombie apocalypse) I'll making up at least two unwritten rules.

I think the boxing day opening is why I have never played this game. What is the closing date for entries?

Nice one RA - I usually give t'internet a miss for a few days over Christmas, so knowledge of the closing date would be welcome - I'm guessing New Year's Eve.

No closing date for entries, (31st December 2017 if you are that crazy) but if you put a team in after the 31st December 2016 then you will be limited to a list of only 9 team members (and no subs).

Hey, trying to come up with a list of the winners of all the Deathlist forum games, a sort of Hall of Fame if you were. As I can't find it mentioned in thread, can any of those around at the time remember who won the 2008 Hartlepool Deadlypool? Also, did the 2009 winner "Why Not?" ever officially turn out to be a member of this forum? Thanks.

That's only fair until IS kidnap a small village and/or a plane carrying a football team is reported to be facing a crash landing.

Can we have a ruling on opportunistic ghoulish selection, or summat?

Thought I had ruined chances of booby there with death of Henry Heimlich but all is well as he is in my DDP list.

Well, either that or the deluge remains unceasing, eh?

The DL committee would be well advised to start the shortlist meeting on New Year's Eve and leave their phones on

Iiirc one of the Cmme did say one year that the meeting was on New Years Eve. Think it was the year Schumacher had his skiing incident.

Found it!

Probably a good call to leave ex-Pope Benedict off for this year. Retirement seems to have done him the world of good.

Not sure Prince Philip will go either but he is a bit of a staple on these lists. I think his gradual decline will start to pick up speed though, with increasingly long and serious periods of hospitalisation.

Tell me, though, o DL Committee, was there any temptation to sneak Schumi or Brian May on at the last minute?

Schumi was discussed until 8pm 31-Dec. Brian May didn't get mentioned.

Also accidentally stumbled across in that search: Sharon discussed but rejected for 2014, Hitchens discussed at length for 2011 but rejected. Funny the little gems of info scattered around the forum!
