Article actually says a whole series of new films. I’m a big LOTR fan but I had hoped they weren’t going to milk it anymore. Is it possible for Hollywood not to franchise the fuck out of a single fantasy or sci fi concept nowadays?
-
Tbf I still prefer you to TQR.

Who knows. Could be 1940 for all we know. Indians are the worst bullshitters when it comes to their age. It’s mad how their society, including their government and media lap it all up and promote it rather than call them out for being fraudsters.

Is it too late for me to sign up and ask one? “Hi Steve, Ulitzer here. Big fan (not really, never heard of you). Tell me Steve, how likely is it that you’ll drop dead from a heart attack without ever reading this?”

I’m not sure why you’re facepalming him @mymango. That’s an actual update unlike the shite you post.

Cue 1000s of twats on Twitter posting predictable statuses like “O M G I just saw that David Attenborough was trending and my heart literally sank!!!!1111”

Milton Thiago de Mello did a long interview shortly after his 108th birthday, presumably just to piss us off. Looks like he could become a supercentenarian.

Haydn Gwynne, who portrayed Camilla in The Windsors, died in October 2023, just a month after a cancer diagnosis. Olivia Williams played Camilla in The Crown. Conspiracy theories appearing online in 3, 2, 1... Edit: Important to note however that Williams was diagnosed in 2018. It doesn't appear that she's in any immediate trouble.

News reports here and here. His DOB has long been up for debate. His Wiki page used to say 1926, it now says 1934 but 1929 seems to look like the "official" one. The KCNA announced his death just over 10 years ago, on 5 May 2014. Let's hope he doesn't resurrect again this time.

Of note, her older sister Susan Peard (nee Devlin, wiki) is still alive at age 92/93. Also a badminton player.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...
Ulitzer95 replied to Vaagheid's topic in DeathList Forum
He's probably dead. Norman Scarth is not a big name at all. He was more or less only known in the UK for his political campaigns and legal cases but he hadn't been in the news for years. Tbf, I haven't contacted any papers about him. Maybe I should. He had an impressive WWII record so maybe the Telegraph would write him an obit, but probably a long shot. -
Congratulations, you win the ultra rare "double Clive" seeing as it was already mentioned twice yesterday.

To quote the late great Joan Rivers: ”89, unexpected? More like 89, about god damn time!”

I'm dumping a mention of her because I'm shocked we haven't discussed her before. American-born British theatre critic and producer Blanche Marvin MBE (wiki) was looking great at her 99th birthday in January. Still, golden QO obit territory there. Would be good to see her making a DDP debut next year.

Mollie Lentaigne (wiki), British artist and celebrated Red Cross nurse during World War II, dead just shy of 104. A pick in several pools on here.
