Prince Takahito from Japan died, 100 years old.

What is the likelihood of him obiting, cause he's on some DDP teams. He has a telegraph article from the past year.

EDIT: The answer is yes thanks to reuters posting an obituary for him: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-japan-royals-prince-misaka-idUSKCN12R07B

Probably Infanta Alicia (b. 1917) though she is a pretender now.

102-year old Catarina Meesen is the only living resident of the now disappeared land of Moresnet. That is a strange sentence to read but it is actually true.

Here's a bit of history.

In 1815 there was a dipute about a small strip of land bordering Belgium (back then part of the Netherlands) and Germany. It was coveted by both countries due to the existance a zinc ore over there. It was established as an independent strip of land for the time being until the dispute would be decided on a later date. After the independence of Belgium in 1830, it was bordering four countries. It remained an independent strip until 1920 and Meesen is the last verified person born there before this strip of land was awarded to Belgium after the first world War.

Finally. A lot of low hanging fruit points.... And was she a Lucky 13??!

SC

Edit: oh FFS CoffinLodger can't you people wait to find a link in English? It's so annoying. I have no idea what this link says so you'll get no credit from me for posting 'first' if you're in such a bum's rush.

Will Lupita get a QO?

So far, the closest thing to a QO for her is a Washington Post article, which is a reputable source, but not from the UK. On the other hand, it was published just 3 hours ago and offers the possibility that a British newspaper could quote it tomorrow.

I would imagine she'll get one, and it will be a score for the Gray Panthers.

On the ATP main page and on ESPN's page their is an article on Gardnar Mulloy who Friday became the first Tennis Hall Of Famer to make it to 100 years old. Looking at his record of winning Us Open and Wimbledon titles and being top 10 in singles and 1 in doubles probably is enough for him to get a pointsworthy obit when he passes.

well we'll soon find out ! http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/tennis/article114858218.html

Death of Tovar (106) makes Renee Simonot (105) the oldest actress in my books. Can't think of anyone older.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renée_Simonot

Interesting fact about her,

She is the mother of actresses Catherine Deneuve and Françoise Dorléac. This latter died decades ago.

Another of her daughters is 80. I wouldn't be surprised if Renée survived one of her daughters.
