Nancy Reagan

Recommended Posts

I bet she's just watching reruns of Bedtime for Bonzo.

Perhaps Alzheimer's (and similar brain-atrophying) diseases be transmitted sexually eg syphillis and gonorrhea?

After all, they were together a LONG time..... :ghost3:

Maybe he is coming to get her .

Seriously though the fact that she is giving interviews and communicating with the current President and First Lady is a sign she will probably be around for a little while still. Betty Ford will go before she does.

I am glad to see Nancy Reagan back on the DL. She is at best a slight to moderate success for 2011, but still a good choice. This year she will be 90 years old and her recent appearances (what few there have been) show her to be getting rather frail and walking with a cane.

Just because Nancy Reagan has had hip operations and trouble walking without assistance doesn't mean she's close to death. She has good genes. Her mother lived well into her 90s. Nancy has never been hospitalized for heart problems or anything else. This is the first lady who might break Bess Truman's longevity record. I think the next first lady to die is Barbara Bush or Betty Ford. Most likely Betty Ford, but I would give even her a couple of years more based on her daughter's description of her health.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure Barbara Bush will go before her husband. She had a heart surgery a few years back and has had several other health problems. And she is "only" 85 years old. So instead of Nancy, put the old gal Barbara Bush on your list! :P

From The National Enquirer, the hardly earth shattering news that nearly nonogenerian Nancy is becoming a bit forgetful in her dotage.

A shockingly frail NANCY REAGAN is slipping mentally, and friends fear the former first lady is in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease - the same killer that claimed her husband's life.

During a recent outing, the 89-year-old widow of former president Ronald Reagan was stooped over and so shaky that she clung to her Secret Service escort for support.

But insiders say her mental decline is even more pronounced than her physical deterioration.

"Nancy will sometimes sit for hours in a chair at her home in Bel-Air with a distant look in her eyes," confided a longtime pal.

"She's also started to become very forgetful. She can be very lucid one moment and then completely lose her train of thought the next. The fear is that she's in the early stages of Alzheimer's or senile dementia."

Nancy perks up only when someone mentions her late husband, who passed away at age 93 in June 2004, said the friend.

"Sometimes, Nancy gets all done up at a hair salon in Beverly Hills as if she were getting ready for a date with Ronnie," the source revealed.

"In Nancy's mind, he's still around. She talks with him all the time."

In a 2009 interview, she admitted, "It sounds strange, but…I see Ronnie. At nighttime, if I wake up, I think Ronnie's there, and I start to talk to him. It's not important what I say. But the fact is, I do think he's there. And I see him."

The former first lady has fallen and has been taken to the hospital three times since 2005, but despite her fragile health, she greeted a crowd of dignitaries at a celebration of her late husband's 100th birthday on Feb. 6 at his presidential library in Simi Valley, Calif.

"I know that Ronnie would be thrilled," she said, then looking heavenward, added: "and is thrilled to have all of you share in his 100th birthday."

But Nancy looked so fragile at the Beverly Hills restaurant Spago on Feb. 28 that the Internet buzzed with concern.

"Poor woman. She looks so frail," wrote one person, while another posted this message: "Senility and fear of death is a terrible thing."

Added her pal: "The only thing Nancy lives for is Ronnie - just as when he was alive.

"She said, 'I miss him so much! But I feel him here with me, and I honestly believe that we will be united again very soon - in heaven!'"

I see where she released a public statement on Betty Ford's death. Given recent reports that Mrs. Reagan is getting more frail, it will be interesting to see if she is able to travel to Michigan for the funeral. If this is the case, historians could have a very rare opportunity to have the 6 living First Ladies together. Those gatherings don't happen very often.

But irregardless, I think Nancy Reagan should be kept on for the 2012 DL. She is now the oldest surviving former occupant of the White House (age 90). In addition, now that Betty Ford is gone, and we need at least one more "presidential deathlister", George HW Bush should be considered. Bush is now 87 and growing increasingly frail, due to a form of Parkinson's Disease. Media reports say that he is relying on a wheelchair or a scooter cart for mobility. His wife Barbara, now 86, seems to be functioning well, despite heart surgery 2 years ago. The other ex presidents and first ladies: Carters, Clintons, and the younger Bushes all seem to be in relatively good health. So my thinking is that Nancy Reagan and George HW Bush would be the next 2 best bets.

Agreed Nancy Reagan's appearance at Betty Ford's funeral and even her absence will tell us a lot about her condition. Lady Bird Johnson died almost exactly four years ago on July 11, 2007 and Betty Ford was absent due to health with her husband's funeral only six months earlier. I don't think Nancy's time is really close but I doubt she will make it past 93 which is how long Ronald lived as well as Gerald and Betty Ford; 93 seems to be the "in" age to die at in presidential circles lately. Also Nancy lives in California only about 100 miles from where Betty Ford lived so it should be relatively easy for her to attend unless she is in terrible shape.

I reckon Hilary Clinton will out do all the first lay-deees and make mid to late 90s before she croaks. I admire her spunk. As Monica did her old man's

CNN is reporting that Nancy Reagan will attend the funeral of Betty Ford, tomorrow in Palm Desert, California. Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter, Bill & Hillary Clinton, and Michelle Obama will also attend. But strangely there is no word of George HW & Barbara Bush or George W. & Laura Bush attending. Hmmm, the elder Bushes were thought to be quite close to the Fords and honestly with HW's health issues, it would be understood if he didn't go. Yet why isn't Barbara going? Is there something with her health that is keeping her away? And is this a sign that we should add her to the 2012 DL? I know I posted earlier that Nancy & HW would suffice. But I'm wondering now if Nancy should stay off and George & Barbara be the "married couple on the reaper list".

Reports are now saying Barbara Bush will be attending the private local funeral, but her husband is still a no-show.

I agree, I say we take off Reagan next year, and put Bush Sr. on instead for our White House member. Then whoever doesn't attend Bush's funeral is our next pick, and so on.

George HW Bush did look quite old and frail when he did an interview on the Larry King show last year. He's 87 which is the same age his brother was when he .died last year.I definately think he should be on next years list.

That said,Nancy Reagan is 90 and frail and could succumb to a fall or stroke at any time as well so I don't think she should be taken off the list just yet.One former first lady who definate;ly should not be on next years list is Roslyn Carter. She looks remarkably good for a woman in her 80s!

>>>Well she is an Illumaninati who knows what kind of apocropathy pumped these dark hearted eliets with Zombie juice.... I bet these assholes do indeed meet in dark chambered mansions, and for semi and annual, Rosicurian meetings. Especially here in Hong Kong in the midlands-Admiralty area. possibly some mansion on the Peak (the older ones), and as such they have gatherings and parties where they suckle the adolescent meta essence from young sexy school girl jail baits (that taunt me with their sexy skirt ass shakings (any ethnicity). But the difference is I don't act out my fantasy. (7 years in a sweaty hong kong jail full of Triads really sucks, (with no AC I think, and lots of tropical bugs where I shit), Anyways, It's like that movie "death becomes her", Where these rich trophy MILFS try to control a wimbly Bruce Willis, and they drink some purple egyptian goo, in some dramatic death cult ritual. I'm sure that's what these undead souless Hong Kong business executives do how else do they fly to NY, London, Montreal, Joannasburg, Shanghai, Tokyo, on a regular basis? While Legitimate businesspersons, are dropping like flies as their gold digging Illumininati sand bitches, drain what's left of their Qi.

Well the jokes on these Camerillia Vampires..... There is no more blood from us to suck. no more batteries, we're burnt out bulbs, just dry dust, and a few sparks left like on Dark crystal where the buzzards drank essence... So now they just fuck off to what ever dark realm they're from, and abandon Earth like an old Abandoned Californian mining town..... Maybe that's why they stopped even pretending to try and fix things, to try and suckle the last remaining man juices from us.

fuck you Nancy, Thatcher, DIEEEEE dieEEEEEEEEEEE dieEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE....

she does look like a walking (and falling) corpse in those pics it has to be said.

PS nice of the paper to spare her dignity and photograph her fall from every angle!

She's looked like a corpse for at least the past 20 years, though does seem noticeably older in these pics.

The woman looks so frail and thin. She can barely walk baby steps with a cane and someone helping her. I could see a broken hip in the near future and that being the end of her.

A slippery floor, a sudden gust of wind, a gentle push: the possibilities are endless.

She's at the Republican Candidates Debate. She is frail, but she's still decked out in red. :scratchhead:
