African Leaders - Despots and Democratic

Emile Zinsou, now 96, was hospitalised in June and the outlook doesn't look particularly promising... (article is in French) This could be a unique pick for my theme team (also the first of the year, bummer.

    Hollywood Possibilities

Robert Z'dar, B-movie legend and maybe the weirdest face to ever be caught on film died in Pensacola aged 64: http://www.pnj.com/story/entertainment/events/pensacon/2015/03/31/cult-actor-robert-zdar-dies-pensacola/70745990/

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2016

I'm not saying he's having a date with Death next year, but I'm sure he and Death are at least good pals. Michel Houellebecq, 2008: Michel Houellebecq, late 2014

    2015 DDP Salvage Lot

I left out some of my classic argentinian picks like Carlos Menem and Hebe de Bonafini. Others that were shortlisted but I left out include: Malcolm Young Seijun Suzuki Monica Vitti Paul Gascoigne Benedict XVI Abdulla the Butcher Jake "The Snake" Roberts Leonard Nimoy Mary Tyler Moore Olivia de Havilland Octavio Lepage Noun Chea Helen Fawkes Kate Granger Glen Campbell Liz Dawn Alcides Ghiggia Carlo Azeglio Ciampi

    Sam Simon

You make it sound so easy! The thing with the other three candidates you mention is that they all have a chance while there's no way Simon is going to make it to 2016. Ford's chemo is reportedly working, we hadn't had any real news of Aherne for some time now which could mean anything and Berkowitz, well, he looks more promising.

    Dead Pop Stars

Daisy Berkowitz back on chemo and cancelling shows. He said back in october that he was doing fine and the cancer was under control so something went clearly down south since then. https://www.facebook...875887759102572

    AC/DC

The situation hasn't got much better for Malcolm. The band officially announced he won't be returning due to his condition: http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-29345368 One to keep an eye on for 2015?

    James Bond 007 (Connery/Moore/Villains etc)

I almost put him on my list this year and the previous year but I finally didn't because I knew nothing about his health. Should had went with my hunch.

    General Jaruzelski

Well, he seems to be taking this whole hospitalization deal pretty good http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2555476/Wojciech-Jaruzelski-Ex-dictator-90-sex-nurse-Polish-general-threatened-divorce-caught-compromising-position-wife.html

    Crashing Companies

When did Motley Crew become a company? Around the time they became an itinerant 80s nostalgia theme park.

    Claudio Abbado

My first hit of the year. I see in the DDP list of teams that it was only included in my team and in David Quantick's Showbiz Pals.

    Hugo Chavez

I still can't believe I didn't make Chávez my joker in the DDP.
