Not that I enjoy their music by any means (I really don't like them at all), but that is really a shock.

Did not know him but at first glance he seems a drug addict imbecil who had the luck to sing quite well. Just heard something of him)

These wounds, they will not heal?

Ah, this is admitting to knowing far more Linkin Park songs than is healthy.

Sincerely, Linkin Park is one of those groups I often heard of, but I never listened a single song of them. And this Bennington, whose name I heard for the first time this evening, seems a complete dick.

Did not want to offend Linkin Whatsoever fans, though.

They were better than Limp Bizkit. That I can say honestly.

At least Chris Cornell was a great singer.

Dunno how it was in Italy, but I couldn't avoid constantly listening to them in their heyday cause both radios and music TV channels (yes, they were a thing back then) were playing them ad nauseam (especially "Numb").

Repetitive choruses, shallow lyrics, cheap, poppy & "radio friendly" nu metal (NB = not metal). I guess their songs weren't that offensive but I hated them cause I had to listen to them way more often than I wanted to. Anyways, it's still quite a shock, he was much too young and I'm sorry for the six kids he left behind.

Bit of a dark age for music.

I'm pretty sure that cannot be true (you must've heard at least some of his songs if not his name), although you could've been too young to remember it now.

But if you really haven't, you didn't miss much.

I Think Lardy should be applauded for getting in with the news before sll the usual names.

She can now have a celebratory wank over that and flood the West Country or summat. :D

My knowledge of LP's music consists of the "CRAAAAAAAAWLING IN MY SKIIIIIIIIIIIN, THESE WOUNDS THEY WILL NOT HEAL" line gaining a second life via Internet jokes... and that's pretty much it.

I wasn't a fan, but at least they were better than the alternative bands I was forced to like out of peer pressure. Offspring, Blink182, Sum41. At that time I heavily listened to Nine Inch Nails and also Marilyn Mansion and the like. For a while, it looked like Linkin Park took Inspiration from them but then they turned awfully ordinary.

If he committed suicide in the wee hours, I wonder if he was dead by sunrise.

I know the name Linkin Park but that is it.I probably would recognise some of their hits if I heard them.
