HE MAY NOT BE DEAD YET, BUT, IM SURE HE WISHES HE WAS, THEM PRISONERS LIKE A NICE ASIAN BOY, I BET HE IS IN CHARGE OF PICKING UP THE SOAP IN THE SHOWER ROOM, AND HAS AN ARSE LIKE A CLOWNS POCKETT.

WHERE IS HIS GOD TO HELP HIM NOW

LONG MAY HIS SUFFERING CONTINUE

To be honest Grave Digger, he should be released. There is inconclusive evidence that he was guilty and most people have doubts to whether he actually did it. Another Sean Hodgson really - i.e. a fine example of the government shoving someone into prison because they don't have any pointers to the person who actually did it.

And unlike Jade, he isn't an attention mongering whore - he didn't put himself in the spotlight and I doubt he wants to be in it to be honest.... we shouldn't really be cursing him and asking for his suffering to continue

The cancer has spead to his spine.

Just a word of caution, secondary spinal cancer by itself might not kill him that quickly. Fellow Glasgow resident and prostate cancer sufferer Edwin Morgan has had a tumour in his spine since 2003.

I'd say a better indication of when he might have weeks to live will be when he is released from prison. The Home Office still apply the three to six months to live rule when considering parole on medical grounds.

This article is the closest I could get to on the issue.

The cancer has spread to his spine and pelvis...

I still don't think it's cut and dried that he commited the bombing - but he's sure the fall guy for the plot. 270 people died and their folks need to feel that justice is seen to be done. Its a cruel situation to be in prision till death but if the guy really did not do the crime then its equally cruel for him to be inside till the end. I say send him back to Libya, and not be bothered if they continue to jail him.

Having terminal cancer in Libya sounds wonderful.

Dutch newssources claim that Libya has asked for Al-Megrahi's extradition as he has 'only weeks' to live.

Confirmed by this, it says it was published on february 26, though google mentioned a release-date of 45 minutes ago.

I'm not too sure of Libya's credibility in matters like these, so let's wait for the British reaction to the plea. If the Biggs-case can be considered as a judicial precedent, things are looking grim for our oriental pyrotechnic friend (may Allah scorche his beard).

He's going to die.

So why do feel bad? Because he spend his life trying to cure intorrance and hatred.

So why don't I? Even if he didn't do it...his hands are not clean.

I don't feel so bad

I'll feel bad if he doesn't die.

He is my joker on the DDP. I don't regret choosing him now. :crossbone:

Things have gone a bit quiet with AAM is he any closer to the gates of Hell?

Twice I have selected him as my next hit. I hope he doesn't disappoint me.

According to news reports------------latest as of now----------he still has terminal cancer and wants to return to Libya which seems somewhat contingent upon how agreements go with the Lockerbie victim relatives who do not want him to be allowed to go. BBC today reports the relatives may demand a judicial review to stop him.

His health better not mysteriously improve as soon as given compassionate release.

Yeah, I have to admit, that post was more akin to something you'd probably see on like The Sun's forums or some crap like that. However I see his point, and if he did indeed participate in the Lockerbie bombing and cause the deaths of 270 people then as far as I'm concerned he absolutely deserves what that poster has just described.

I wonder how common prison rape is in UK jails. Doubtless not as common as in the US. Many prisoners would likely call another a 'poof' for wanting to instigate homosexual contact.

Scots justice minister to decide in next two days. Nobody on either side seems to be disputing the 3 months to live claim. But a release and a slight improvement could - just - put his due date into 2010, that'd be deadpooling tragedy for the masses of us sitting on DDP nominations for the fella this year. Apart from anything else the ongoing debates and his role as a political pawn have ENSURED broadsheet obits. as and when.

Kenny says Al-megrahi is going home.

The whole thing was a farce. MacAskill made it look like a live results show for the xfactor.

Interested to hear the statement - fairly judged, well delivered. Well, the crux being the 10th August view that he has reasonable estimate of under another 3 months to live. So lets judge again on the 10th of November if all those have got their death estimate right. Anyone want to start the sweepstake? I'll take a punt on 27th September (270th day of this year - prophetically one day for each death) ;)

List to date of estimated death dates:

27th Sep = Rotten Ali

10th Oct = Windsor

20th Oct = Handrejka

31st Oct = The Miser

4th Nov = Ulitzer95

5th Nov = Gunjaman5000

10th Nov = One Shot Paddy

11th Nov = time

13th Nov = The Unknown Man

14th Nov = themaninblack

21st Dec = heaven can wait - "your honour till noon on the 27th Dec'."

1st Jan = maryportfuncity

11th Jan = Vaagheid (Vaagy wins if Al-Megrahi lives beyond noon on the 6th January 2010)

I'll go with the 10th October. No reason.

Well, I didn't choose him for my DDP team for reasons I can't remember (probably a mixture of not knowing the true extent of his illness and that he might be pulling a Biggs on the Scottish prison system).

So I'll say November 14th..
