Candye Kane who has been mentioned a few times, missed a gig last night due to ill health.

Here's her comment from her facebook page

sends apologies for the show i missed in Baarn at amerpoort with united by music. I have pancreatitis. I hope to be better by tomorrow. its been rough this time. love to you all. treasure your health while you have it. It supersedes everything else.

Candye Kane, is sadly suffering from cancer again. Although widely reported to have had pancreatic cancer, she is actually suffering from neuroendocrine tumours, the same condition that afflicted Steve Jobs and DL favourite Paul Hunter. :skull:

She posted this on her facebook page just a few hours ago

"Playing at Yolies in Ventura tonight with special guest JASON RICCI!!! We play from 8-10 pm! We will also be at the Calypso Restaurant in Leucadia on Sunday from 7:30-9:30!! Had an amazing time at Merle Haggard show."
So it doesn't seem to have slowed her down much.

Further news on these turn of events, Candye just posted the following message on her facebook page

Quote

"just to clarify; I will be having pancreatic cancer surgery on april 27th at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles. I WILL NOT BE AT THE BENEFITS IN MY HONOR on april 29 and 30 in burbank at joes bar and grill and at the belly up tavern. People keep writing me and saying that they will see me there. I will only be there in spirit. Thanks to all who are helping me during this insane time in my life. I WILL PREVAIL. ♥"

I think she's UK obit worthy. Her health has been back and forth these past couple of months.
She's survived a lot longer with pancreatic cancer than most would have and to be still gigging.
Her benefit gig is on April 30th

Well I am 1/5 now. No real reason for them being on my list. Just shooting in the dark. I should make a profile.

I am sure he will of been suggested before. But it must be nearly James "Whitey" Bulger's time. At the age of 82 and in jail can't be good for his health

I nominate Barbra Walters. She is currently growing more senile everyday on the View. Sometime she can barely speak, Can't get up the stairs and starts talking about random things. They need to pull her off before she dies right onscreen.

The Hong Kong Standard reports that prominent politician's wife Gu Kailai, 50, implicated in the high profile death of the British businessman Neil Heywood, is dying of bone cancer.
What are heavy? Sea-sand and sorrow;

The Simon & Garfunkel Facebook page alerted me to the fact that popular 1970's New York City progressive rock DJ Peter Fornatale is in ill health.
