Thought to be in the woods, could have slipped the net and be considering his next visit to a chip shop for funds.

Maryport is a disappointment for which there is no cure, but the annual Deathrace thread hereabouts provides welcome distraction.

Could I create myself anew
I would not fail in pleasing you.

"We're today's scrambled creatures, locked in tomorrow's double feature
Heaven's on the pillow, its silence competes with hell
It's a twenty-four hour service, guaranteed to make you tell
And the streets are full of press men
Bent on getting hung and buried
And the legendary curtains are drawn 'round Baby Bankrupt
Who sucks you while you're sleeping
It's the theatre of financiers
Count them, fifty 'round a table
White and dressed to kill."

One of his mates is up for the £10,000 reward and helping police find him. It seems likely we'll wake up to the news that we can check the accuracy of our poll choices.

I'd be interested as well to see whether the crime rate in this part of the Scottish Borders has a sudden decrease over this week, we border Northumberland and there is a marked increase in the amount of police on the country roads and town streets around here. My town itself is roughly 27 miles north of Rothbury as the crow flies, although it's about 43 miles by road, and some Borders' towns are even closer.

Sounds like there's gonna be an almighty shootout when the armed and bullet-proof-vested police catch up with him.

Yes, I am up in that part of the world. Helicopter was circling low last night and some streets were cordoned off. They think the second shooting was unrelated now, though - he was a bikie.
No one even knows who the first nutter is though, since he had his motorcycle helmet on when he swiped those girls' car.
A friend said police were patrolling near her house with sniffer dogs.
Unrelated note - first episode of the Collectors without Andy Muirhead tonight in just a few minutes. Wonder if he is at all suicidal???
(For the English, clean-cut young Andy is a popular Australian TV and radio host who was caught with kiddy porn on his computer a few weeks ago,.....)
