There's also a few actors who might fit in there but DOBs are unknown. ie John Rolfe from The Moonbase.

Spoiler for me, too. It hasn't aired in Aus yet. Is that the Alpha Centauri, as in, everyone's favourite hermaphrodite  from the Peladon episodes? Awesome!

EDIT: Okay, so this Ysanne chick is the same woman who played his/her/its voice back in the 1970s and she is reprising the role now she is in her 90s. :) I hope he/her/it looks good in CGI, as opposed to the old rubber suit.

I was actually going to skip this episode because it sounded like the usual naff Gatiss filler but I feel obliged to watch it now for the nice link to the Pertwee era.

Some tweets suggest actor Gordon Sterne (5th on the Dr Who list) has died. Nothing official yet.

Who new Who?

Assuming the bookies are right about Kris Marshall being the next bloke, he has already had one near-death experience:

"Kris, 43, was left in a coma after being run over in 2008 but fully recovered..."

He also got a ban for drink driving.

I will watch it if he becomes the new Doctor.

The only times ive watched the latest series has been when everybody else in it has been out and over acted by Michelle Gomez and John Simm.

Its actually good when they are in it.

He seems to have tailor-written the following article for DL. Not only does he unnecessarily go into all of the excruciatingly minute details of his accident but he also tells the world his current exercise and dietary regime:

Betting suspended everywhere but Betfair. We're bloody close, looks as though it will be either Whittaker or Marshall.

Still not ginger. Still white.

Shame, disappointing way forward after such a good series.

I'm guessing that they wanted more gender equality with their new choice.
