Sir Creep 7,011 Posted February 9, 2015 For everybody who thought Gino Odjick would be a guarantee hit: His condition has improved vastly and doctors have given him more time (Well, more time than his initial 1-year prognosis, given approximately one year ago). Death Impends 7,361 Posted May 20, 2015 IIRC Murray still has had to travel a lot less and notes "if my health holds up" as a prerequisite to continue coaching, so I could still see him going this year, though he could just as well be a Sam Simon "very much dying but sneaks into next year anyway" case, only with hockey keeping him going instead of animals. Mortson will be best remembered for his time with the Maple Leafs with whom he won all four of his championships, however his thirteen year career also saw him spend time with the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks. Sir Creep 7,011 Posted August 27, 2015 Ron “Chico” Maki, who played parts of 15 seasons with the Blackhawks during the 1960s and ’70s, died Monday, the team confirmed. Maki was 76. Maki was a three-time All-Star who got his name on the Stanley Cup after playing in one game during the Hawks’ 1961 playoff run to the championship. A native of Ontario, the right wing played in 841 games for the Hawks before retiring after the 1975-76 season. Sir Creep 7,011 Posted October 30, 2015 Vladimír Kobranov, a member of the Czech hockey team which won the 1949 World Championship died on Sunday at the age of 88. The former defenceman, inducted in the Czech Hockey Hall of Fame, played for the national team from 1947 -1949 and scored 18 goals in 29 matches. Besides winning the Worlds, Mr Kobranov was a silver medallist from the 1948 Olympic Winter Games in St. Moritz.
