Maryport is a disappointment for which there is no cure, but the annual Deathrace thread hereabouts provides welcome distraction.

Thought to be in the woods, could have slipped the net and be considering his next visit to a chip shop for funds.

D.O.A. I reckon he knows he's going to be facing life inside, 1 murder and possibly 2 attempted murder. Probably top himself rather than go back inside.
This is true my form is something odd,
But blaming me is blaming God;
Could I create myself anew
I would not fail in pleasing you.

He's written 48 pages of letters to the police and his ex. He obviously wants to live. There's surely a book deal and an OU degree in jail on the agenda.

Derrick Bird would have him in a duel, I reckon...
Derby Dead Pool showrunner...

"We're today's scrambled creatures, locked in tomorrow's double feature
Heaven's on the pillow, its silence competes with hell
It's a twenty-four hour service, guaranteed to make you tell
And the streets are full of press men
Bent on getting hung and buried
And the legendary curtains are drawn 'round Baby Bankrupt
Who sucks you while you're sleeping
It's the theatre of financiers
Count them, fifty 'round a table
White and dressed to kill."

David Bowie - We Are The Dead (1974)

Flurry of activity ongoing as we speak.

One of his mates is up for the £10,000 reward and helping police find him. It seems likely we'll wake up to the news that we can check the accuracy of our poll choices.

For the record, I went with DoA. It seems pretty obvious he thinks he's got nothing to live for (apart from the newspaper serialisation of his story followed by the TV movie) so it'll be a grisly shoot-out in the woods.
2013 DDP Team: John Bardon; Dora Bryan; Emile Ford; John Glenn; Eldon Griffiths; Bernard Haitink; Gerald Harper; Patricia Knatchbull; Francis Matthews; Sheila Mercier; Les Munro; Pete Murray; Peter O'Toole; I. M. Pei; Nosher Powell; Dudley Simpson; Mike Stoller; Margaret Thatcher(Joker); Peter Wyngarde; Jimmy Young.

2013 DDP Theme Team 1: Ronald Atkins, Ron Braunstein, Ron Brown, Ronald Chesney, Ronald Coase, Ronnie Walter Cunningham, Ronnie Dawson, Ronald Baron Fearn, Ron Flowers, Ronnie Gilbert, Ronald Harwood, Ronald Hines, Ron Isley, Ronnie Masterson, Ronnie Moore, Ronald Pellar, Ronnie Ronalde, Ron Smith, Ronald Stevenson, Ron Suart (Joker)

2013 DDP Theme Team 2: Roger Alton, Roger Angell, Sir Roger Bannister, Roger Cook, Roger Corman, Roger Daltrey, Roger Ebert, Roger Etchegaray, Sir Roger Moore, Sir Roger Norrington, Sir Roger Penrose(Joker), Roger Protz, Roger Sainsbury, Roger Sloman, Roger Smith, Roger Spottiswood, Roger Squires, Roger Staubach, Roger Taylor, Roger Whitaker

Deathrace 2013 Team: Glen Campbell, Henry Kissinger, George Shultz (Joker), Fidel Castro, Stan Lee, Helmut Schmidt, Nelson Mandela, Jerry Lewis, Sidney Poitier, Maximilian Schell, Fats Domino, BB King, Ray Harryhausen, Pierre Cardin, Jiroemon Kimura .

2013 Hartlepool Deadlypool Team: George HW Bush, Jiroemon Kimura, Carl Reiner, Vera Lynn, Kirk Douglas, Patty Andrews, Al Molinaro, BB King, Eydie Gorme, Efrem Zimbalist Jr..

I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be.

I don't watch any news. I sometimes look at the news on the BBC website though. I'd never watch Sky News cos I can't fucking stand Burley or Holmes. Although if Raoul wants to do a Dando on either of them, I'll happily tune in 24 hours a day :rolleyes:

The latest poll picks are definitely favouring DOA, runaway favourite at the moment.

I don't think there is any doubt about DoA , the police must surely be operating a 'shoot on sight, ask questions later' policy. My question is whether the police will have another 'Jean Charles de Menezes' incident on their hands before they bring him down ?

I'd be interested as well to see whether the crime rate in this part of the Scottish Borders has a sudden decrease over this week, we border Northumberland and there is a marked increase in the amount of police on the country roads and town streets around here. My town itself is roughly 27 miles north of Rothbury as the crow flies, although it's about 43 miles by road, and some Borders' towns are even closer.

I believe he will be taken alive and uninjured. He's shot just three people and even then managed to kill only one of them. He's hardly Rambo.
What are heavy? Sea-sand and sorrow;
What are brief? Today and tomorrow;
What are frail? Spring blossoms and youth;
What are deep? The ocean and truth.

Not wishing to miss out on the action here in Brizvegas, after a road traffic accident a leather-clad motorcyclist turns a shotgun on startled witnesses, hijack's their car and does a runner. He later torches the car, and it looks like he's stolen another, killed the driver with a gunshot and is still on the run.
Sounds like there's gonna be an almighty shootout when the armed and bullet-proof-vested police catch up with him.
Five zombies. Four bullets. Two zombies.

Honez,

Yes, I am up in that part of the world. Helicopter was circling low last night and some streets were cordoned off. They think the second shooting was unrelated now, though - he was a bikie.

No one even knows who the first nutter is though, since he had his motorcycle helmet on when he swiped those girls' car.

A friend said police were patrolling near her house with sniffer dogs.

Unrelated note - first episode of the Collectors without Andy Muirhead tonight in just a few minutes. Wonder if he is at all suicidal???
(For the English, clean-cut young Andy is a popular Australian TV and radio host who was caught with kiddy porn on his computer a few weeks ago,.....)

Police now cordoning off and closing in around Cragside National Trust Estate, could be the endgame. Shame like, loads of us know exactly where he is but we were waiting for tomorrow night when the reward doubles. Hoping to claim our Raoulover jackpot.

Aye, that one is my jacket.
