Country For Old Men (And Women)

Yes, the story had potential, especially once Joey Feek received an absurd amount of coverage. But this case never got beyond Fife Today. Though maybe the current death drought might lead to a Sun or Mirror article. Would be a nice compensation for Michel Delpech.

I said a couple of months ago that I have no doubt that by the end of the year all the 20 people on my main team will be dead. Somewhat funnily, the one I would now give the best odds of surviving the year is Yoshiro Nakamatsu who was "supposed" to die late 2015. But then, I've come to suspect that he might be a little bit of a fraud.

I always thought Dr Nakamats is "carny as fuck", to put it one way. Of course, he'll drop dead tomorrow now out of spite.

It's the right thread but you may have missed the slightly amusing exchange between myself and CO'F in the Dead Pop Stars thread.

That's not your mom said when I fucked her. I had to use a tube of lube during sex with her though so I won't be going back too expensive.

80s/90s country singer Holly Dunn is unwell:

"Back in March of this year, I was diagnosed with a rare, very aggressive form of ovarian cancer. If you read the statistics, it is very bleak. Good thing I don't believe in statistics! I had surgery and now I am having chemo treatments. I have since grown more tumors and it is going to be more of a battle than I anticipated, but I have a huge faith in the healing power of God and the healing power within me that originates from my God. I look towards a future when I am completely healed and cancer free. I ask for prayers of strength and courage as this journey continues."http://www.hallels.com/articles/15603/20160619/country-music-veteran-holly-dunn-shares-about-her-faith-in-the-midst-of-battling-cancer.htmhttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holly_Dunn

There is a theme team in there somewhere, add Glen Campbell.

Roy Head, of "Threat her right" fame, in critical condition after aorta rupture:

Edit: Or maybe this belongs in a different thread, as he is not as much "country" as his son.

He's been in a stable condition since his operation.

I saw him support the reunited Long Ryders in Leeds in 2004. Hid set included the worst song title I've ever heard - "Mohammed Ali (The Meaning of Christmas)".

Greg Trooper, American singer/songwriter, has died aged 61.

Fucking hell.

I only know of him because Billy Bragg covered Everywhere, but that's one hell of a song.

RIP

A couple of days past his birthday too.
