Pakistani taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud believed killed (but not confirmed)

Seems that he's likely dead, but did he die in 2011 or 2012?

A difficult one this. How can we be absolutlely sure he's dead? If his mates in the Taliban confirm it, then perhaps...

The Taliban have a reason to say he's alive. I'd wait until either Pakistan or the United States confirms his death. However, if the Taliban does admit he's dead, then give the teams points.

But only if it can be proven that he died in 2012.

More comebacks than Sinatra, this lad. Impressive for a guy that looks like a feral Orlando Bloom.

Well the tabloids have pulled similar stunts like this before and who says it won't happen again? I would say Quari Hussein is without question dead but Waliur Ur Rehman is probably still hiding in Pakistan ( or somewhere near al-Zawahiri in his mansion about 5 minutes by car from where they got Bin Laden) The bottom line is that when the US wants to eliminate a radical, they make it happen. Egypt is where we can't kill them.

So will they ever truly kill Hakimullah Mehsud and if so when?

Mullah Obaidullah, a senior Taliban member and the former Defense Minister of the Taliban Regime, has been confirmed to have died in prison in 2010 of a heart ailment.

Abu Yahya al-Libi, Al-Queda's most recent in a long line of second-in-commands, may be dead after a recent drone strike.

US officials have apparently confirmed al-Libi is dead. A unique hit for Clathrate Gun.

Mullah Dadullah, the Taliban's military leader in southern Afghanistan, might be lucky to get to 2008. He's developed a reputation as the"Zarqawi of Afgahnistan" and I would think he will be one of the prime targets in the Allied forces spring offensive. And he's got a gammy leg, which might make it difficult for him to get out of tight spot in a hurry.

I like the name Mullah Dadullah, it has a nice ring to it.

its now Mullah Dadontdullah - he's dead

The Pakistani Mullah Dadullah has also been killed http://www.rferl.org...r/24687557.html

The Afghan MD inspired the creation of the Mullah Dadullah Front, so hopefully the Front of Mullah Dadullah will rise from the ashes of the newly-deceased one.

Earlier, when i saw the headline "Pakistani Militant leader killed by Drone Strike" my head went in my hands and I immediately thought..Please not Hakimullah Mehsud.

Prior to submitting my Dead Pool team i noticed Hakimullah had released a new video and statement that claims he may agree to negotiate with the government but most definitely WILL NOT be laying down arms. This was enough for me to remove him from the list as i can't see the US droning the guy if he is almost willing to at least negotiate matters.

I remember the good old days during early 2010, when myself and DDT had Hakimullah on our DDP list and couldn't be certain if he'd been killed in a drone strike or not. Rightly so we never got the points as the new video of him and his mates with AK47's tells us the answer.

They instead seem to have Droned another high profile Taliban militant Maulvi Nazir

NO!!!

Wali-ur-Rehman is a goner ( i think)

I knew i should have stuck with him. I'm bringing back some of the Talibani boys next DDP season.

I think it would be really helpful to see a Taliban structure chart so we can see where all these No. 2's fit in and who is most Deathlist worthy.

Do they publish an annual report?
