Saw PB's post on Facebook after visiting the "five goal thriller" with Fort today (thrilling for Lossiemouth who scored the five goals - not for Fort fans).

Strathspey drew - so Fort are clear bottom one point adrift - though bottom teams scoring better goals/points than in previous seasons. Our heroes may hit double figures of points this season with little trouble.

I doubt it :D , they are seriously shite.

A 270 mile round trip South, raining when I left in the morning , and it didn't stop for even a minute all bloody day. Beer - shite, fitba - shite, weather - shite. Home after dark - shite.

Thoroughly recommended.

On the plus side, the dug enjoyed the mahoosive surf with the Easterly gale going on.

LOSSIEMOUTH 5 FORT WILLIAM 0

Think this could best be described as a bad day at the office for The Fort!

We were looking to build on last week's excellent performance and result against Turriff United, but Grant Park is a place where we have what can only be described as a terrible record!

The early stages were pretty even until the home side took the lead in the 34th minute through Ally Bellingham.

Lossie increased their lead just 4 mins into the second half through Scott Miller from the penalty spot.

Fort should have pulled one back when Colin MacLean had time to pick his spot from 15 yards but home keeper Darren McConnachie did well to save.

A minute later, veteran Shawn Scott made it 3-0, before Rodriguez made it 4 with a long range free-kick that deceived The Fort keeper.

Fort then had Craig Mainland sent off after he received two yellow cards in quick succession, before Scott Miller got his second of the afternoon and Lossie's fifth to make the final score Lossiemouth 5 Fort William 0

We must put yesterday behind us and now look forward to next weekend's home game against Deveronvale FC.

FORT WILLIAM 1 DEVERONVALE 2

SAME OLD STORY FOR FORT!!!!!

For the umpteenth time this season The Fort scored first in a game only to come away empty handed!

The Fort should have opened the scoring in the first minute when Danny Highet was brilliantly set up by Glenn Fell, but he couldn't get his shot on target.

In what was a scrappy first half for both sides, chances were few and far between until The Fort took the lead in the 35th minute.

Great play down the right from Glenn Fell saw him pick out Andreas Broomfield, whose goal bound effort was blocked before it eventually fell at the feet of COLIN MACLEAN who coolly passed the ball into the net.

However, just 90 seconds into the second half, and the visitors were level through Liam Forbes near post header.

It took two excellent saves from Fort keeper David Harrison, to deny Nathan Ross on both occasions, to ensure that the scores remained level.

But the visitors were not to be denied and they scored the winner in the 85th minute, and it came from that man Nathan Ross!

He picked up the ball 30 yards out and then proceeded to run at the heart of the home defence, before slotting the ball under Harrison from 12 yards and make the final score FORT WILLIAM 1 DEVERONVALE 2.

Next up is another home game, with Huntly the visitors to Claggan Park.

BBC yesterday had the result the other way round and placed them third from bottom in the table. :scratchhead:

I think you're confusing me with Charon.

INVERURIE LOCOS 3 FORT WILLIAM 0

Fort performed admirably in the first half, and just as they looked to be going in level at the break, the home side took the lead on the stroke of half-time through Andy Hunter!

A quickfire double from Joe McCabe early in the second half saw the visitors secure the win and the points.

Next up for The Fort is a trip next Saturday to Dudgeon Park to face Brora Rangers.

Shaping up to be a classic season - lost again today, still bottom and Strathspey also lost leaving the bottom two one point apart and us die-hard Fortsters on tenterhooks every week willing that unlikely win to give us the vertigo we enjoyed last season.

FRASERBURGH 3 FORT WILLIAM 2

The home side took the lead in the 9th minute through Paul Campbell.

But it didn't take long for The Fort to equalise, Ally Stark heading home his first Fort goal, after a brilliant cross from Jack Lingard.

There were chances at both ends but the teams went in level at the break.

However, two goals from Bryan Hay and Aiden Combe saw the home side establish a two goal lead, but The Fort then pulled a goal back, and what a goal it was!

Fort top scorer Scottie Davidson, waltzed past three defenders before firing a shot into the top corner from 18 yards for his 11th goal off the season!

Fort manager Ally Ewen said after the game,"The lads were tremendous today, and we are gutted not to have taken anything from the game!"

Next up for us is a home game against high flying Buckie Thistle at Claggan Park next Saturday.

NEXT GAME...

FORT WILLIAM FC v BUCKIE THISTLE FC

Press & Journal Highland League

Saturday 3rd December

Claggan Park

3pm kick-off

This will be our first home game in 5 weeks...and what a game it promises to be, when we welcome our good friends Buckie Thistle to Claggan Park.

Buckie have had an absolutely brilliant start to the season, and currently sit second in the table, 3 points behind current leaders Cove Rangers but with 2 games in hand!

They have also scored a very impressive 79 goals in just 17 games!

And starring up front for the Victoria Park side is the ex-Fort pair of John Mcleod and Sam Urquhart...hopefully both will have forgotten their shooting boots on Saturday!

Can't see that. It's pretty mild up there at the moment.
