Are you clever enough to watch a Tom Stoppard play?

I got 6/7 but I wouldn't watch Tom Stoppard if you paid me in Oompah Loompahs

I got 4/7, but I do know that Dada(ism), Futurism and Cubism are artistic movements rather than moments!

I got 4/7 as well but I though the Rosencrantz question was a bit vague. R&GAD is a brilliant play and the movie is just as good but I would not seek out Stoppard plays

I got 6/7, but guessed a couple of them.

3/7 and I'm not disappointed. I never saw or read a Tom Stoppard play. I did read and see some Shakespeare, but the wrong plays for this quiz.

Hein

I gave up at the first question, "What colour was the second moped".

Moped? What moped? There were 2? Blimey.

9 - but I'm better at shagging than James Bond so I should be a shoe-in.

If you could manage a shoe-in that would be preferable...

I wasn't sure whether to put this in this thread or the English language one. Estimate how many words you know

http://testyourvocab.com/

I know 33,200 apparently.

36,600 for me, which appears to be above average for native English speakers. I missed out a few on the second list that I have seen before, but couldn't think of a definition. And some of them I have never seen before.

<--- 30,100. Just goes to show what little a duff compensive school does for your out come in latter life.

33,500 for me, which puts me in the 60th percentile for my age etc.

Comprehensive school, technical college GCE O Level.

Preface: as an 8th grade student I tested at or quite near college level for every skill....except for English-vocabulary which I tested at a 4th grade level, to which I laughed. As if.

I think I just get asked words I don't know on these tests. I used to be quite good at crossword puzzles and even better at Scrabble, two activities requiring the best of vocabularies.

Alas.... 29,900, slightly below average of about 31500 for my age group. So nothing new here.

And if any of you claim to know 'valetudinarian' (and used it) you may kindly fuck off.

29,900 I feel like a wog. How come they didn't ask 'wog'?

I got considerably less than everyone else at 25300 - and 25000 of those are variations on shit, cunt, fuck and bugger. I suppose that proves the view that people who swear profusely do so due to a lack of vocabulary.

I got just over 27,000.

Meaningless bollocks.
