Peter was interviewed at Cheltenham by Radio Four's Today programme this morning.

Croaky, but mentally sharp, and still up on the runners and riders.

He may well see 2016 on that form.

That seems a fairly safe bet

Well he is 97 and spent five months in hospital last year so even though his mind may be sharp his body is clearly knackered.

That completes the hattrick for my DDP team jokers.

Jules Bianchi joker for "Dead Wait"

Christopher Lee joker for theme team "Deadlee"

Peter O'Sullevan joker for theme team "O'Dead"

Darn I didn't vote for him so he couldn't be saved. Good long run, good to firm, hurdles jumped, finishing post passed. Adieu.

R.I.P. Sir Peter O'Sullevan. I really enjoyed his commentary style and would often try to mimic it when we were given the task of pretending to commentate on a horse race during drama class.

The Mirror says he had cancer? I didn't know... The BBC says he died "after a long illness".

I know he spent a lot of time in hospital and that he had anemia but no I hadn`t heard about any cancer.

Wow, just when I thought we might be suffering from another "drought". This is a great year!

Ironically, the last couple of days I've kind of been really excited every time the 2015 Names got updated, thinking someone had died. Right before I clicked the "Peter O'Sullevan" thread, I told myself to get over it, Peter didn't die. But he did!

I know how you mean, you get excited that Deathlist got a hit, but when it sinks in who it was you are then thinking "Oh!!! not..... "
