Fort William would still have him.mind - and he'd probably turn their season round.

If it is due to his liver failing the last thing he needs is a stint in Scotland . :D

Another clip of Tommy Gemmell worth seeing is the part he played in the infamous Battle of Montevideo (about 2mins 50seconds in).

As a fan of violent encounters (on the pitch) this one takes some beating.

As for Reims, French legends Raymond Kopa (b. 1931) and Michel Hidalgo (b. 1933) are still going, as are, apparently, Raoul Giraudo (b. 1932), Robert Siatka (b. 1934) and Jean Templin (b. 1928), though those latter three are rather more obscure.

Kopa has died aged 85.

Unique DDP pick, therefore awaiting a QO.

Well that's two big European footballers in 2 days. The aged in football who believe in the Rule of Three will be getting nervous.

Long-form Guardian piece on Stan Bowles' health issues here, seems like he's a shell of a human these days. Also included is an aside that Frank Sibley, his one-time teammate and former QPR boss, is also not doing too well healthwise.
