Not sure what its debts are but it has quite a lot of fixed assets in its high street stores. Alan Sugar won't be a happy bunny after buying a £1.8m stake a few weeks back.

CompUSA and Circuit City are to close stores.

Circuit City have already filed for bankruptcy which pisses me off as I bought my cd recorder from them and just a few months ago extended the warrenty, so that's $100 down the drain for me

Watching that made me think of this. This perhaps explains what (if you listen on 2:28), people got up to at deathcon1. It must of all happened after I left.

I've been telling the young 'uns that some business thrive in bad economic times, citing porn, entertainment and alcohol. So I'll be boring them over dinner with this vindication as Cobra Beer goes from strength to strength.

I love Cobra beer with my curry, I do.

Aye, but the irony is that this isn't one of 'these' stories. No rumours to speak of and the company was doing well. Electrical fault, or summat, probably.

~Update~

The astronomy trade is looking up, apparently. Ditto for gynaecologists. However dentists are looking down in the mouth.

The bubble has burst in the spirit level industry and Dairylea dunkers are taking a dip.

Crockery company Whittards about to crash.

Less "You Broke It, You Bought It" than "You Bought It, You Broke It".

They're more than a crockery company. they sell a large range of teas as well as coffee.

Madoff investor found dead on his desk. So, that's one newly created vacancy in the financial sector, then. A job that might last, oooh, a week.
