Obituary-themed quiz to commemorate 'The Day of the Dead'.

Match the quote from the obituary with the correct subject.

I got 7 out of 10. Most important thing was that I got the

Churchill

one right. That was an incredible sentence...

I did some Googling, turns out it's from a BBC obit that they had prepared years earlier, in anticipation of his possible death.

I decided I wanted to beat your score by a comfortable margin before I quit. Funnily enough I got 744 then I got bored.

Those guys who got all 902 must be real party animals.

Apparently, Lightyear isn't an acceptable alternative for Coulthard.

ETA: got 490-something before I gave up in frustration.

European Capitals from 1914. Harder than you think.

http://www.sporcle.c...-of-europe-1914

23/26

One of them I stupidly forgot (it is a very small place!) but the other two I never heard of.

Guardian have a how posh are you quiz

6 out of a possible 23

You’re not very posh at all. You might listen to Radio 4 now and then but you’ve probably never used a pair of opera glasses, met a butler or said “Jolly good show!” non-ironically. Don't worry. You’re not missing out.

I got 12, but with exactly the same comment.

I said 'no' to the Made In Chelsea question, but besides having no idea what it is, I really don't know if I know anyone who knows someone in it. It's entirely possible. Who knows everybody that everybody they know knows?

And punting isn't posh. Everybody who lives anywhere near Oxford or Cambridge must have had a go at that, surely.

I guess so. In the Netherlands punting is (or used to be) the opposite of posh:

This picture from 1926 shows a punter in Giethoorn.

Let's just say it's a stupid TV show. As shit as it is though I'm not sure if it's quite as stupid as some of Guardian's recent "quizzes" or other attempts at humour which come off like something a bunch of cretinous sixth formers from Walsall came up with while their philosophy teacher was out of the room for 10 minutes.

I got eight. I'm going to ring Hugo and tell him.
