According to Joyce Garrards attorney, Dani Bone, Garrard is currently in an ICU unit on life support at a Montgomery (AL) hospital. Garrard is currently on a ventilator. Bone is unaware at this time if Garrard will be taken off of life support

Just to close the loop on this - she's dead.

wait how did the child die the arctle confused me.

The step-grandmother forced her to exercise (running) at an extreme rate that her body physically couldn't tolerate as a punishment, hitting and mentally abusing her if she didn't.

Whitey Bulger moved to solitary confinement because he's a w***er:

But seriously, he can't be THAT ill if he's still capable of doing that.

STOP IT. As I've explained with 100% accuracy, you are NOT to believe self-serving statements from inmates or their lawyers, particularly at sentencing hearings or otherwise.

"The pensioner may not "have many more months to live," the lawyer added, asking for his sentence, due to be handed down at Woolwich Crown Court, to be adjourned."

Of COURSE he was too ill to show up. Fuck all.

He isn't that ill. Neither is DiMasi, nor Marks, nor LStewart nor, etc etc etc etc.

Why do you persist in including Howard Marks in this category? He was released from prison over 20 years ago.

Maybe he was referring to Groucho Marks ?

“When you're in jail, a good friend will be trying to bail you out. A best friend will be in the cell next to you saying, 'Damn, that was fun'.”

Aye, may have a vested interest in people believing that too since he'll die in jail unless he gets compassionate leave.

Then again, if we had a pop up dead pool sweepstake in June...someone could always put up and shut up for Brian.

Winston Mosely, Kitty Genovese's killer is another one who'll probably die behind bars. Don't know much about him but he's getting on in years and as the case was pretty infamous he'll more than likely get a UK press mention.

Died, indeed behind bars. Can't say I'll be mourning that one.

And he does indeed get a UK press mention even if it is just the Daily Mail, which I don't seem to be able to link to.

Texas' oldest death row inmate has died of natural causes after 38 years waiting to be executed.
Jack Harry Smith died two days ago at the age of 78.

Oh well, all that waiting.. for nothing. Didn't even get his obligatory triple cheese-burger, fries & glass of cold beer.

(That's what most death-row inmates have as a final meal, even though it gets shitted out an hour later as 2,000 volts blast it out the other end) :flame2:

I see Hinckley is possibly getting a release decision this week, even though he is almost free all the time any roads.

Very low profile.

John Hinckley Jr will no longer qualify for this thread (if he ever did, he was in a mental institution, not prison) as soon as August 5.https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/would-be-reagan-assassin-john-w-hinckley-jr-to-be-freed-after-35-years/2016/07/27/04142084-5015-11e6-a422-83ab49ed5e6a_story.html
