I think Pavarotti will die in the next few days. :skill2:

Wow! By coincidence, I've just heard on the radio that he's not feeling very well tonight.

Any inside information about Fidel Castro?

I predict that Pavarotti will die the same day as Castro. :skull:

This is just to preserve SC's post before he edits it tomorrow when the effects of tomato juice and celery salt wear off.

Nothing wrong with being impulsive.

So according to various sources Luciano Pavarotti is pretty much done for.

They say he is unconscious and his kidney's have stopped working.

.. Sunny day tomorrow folks!

This funeral is going to make the Pope's and Diana's look like tea parties.

Biggest death this year I think. Sad loss.

Quite unexpectedly, the first thought I had when I heard that Pavarotti had carked it was "football fan will be so pleased!" Not entirely sure why I thought that - perhaps ff's been championing him for the past few years or something.

Anyway, I for one am not at all fussed that he won't be gracing the operatic stages anymore. His kind of tenor is the worst; makes all the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Not in a good way, mind... more in a way like they are about to flee the vicinitiy in an attempt to find the nearest cliff's edge and hurtle themselves off it. I can hardly wait for the tribute concerts to start. :skill2:

We've had a collection in the office, everyone put in a tenor!

Coats on.

It would be sad to see him go he still has so much to offer what with thaty terific voice. I still get chills listening to his rendition of O Holy Night each Christmas.

ermm.... he died today of pancreatic cancer..he should of been on the deathlist 2007 because pancreatic cancer would kill people because it is a deadly cancer

The old argument returns I see.

Given that he was ill last year with cancer, you really should have had him on the list this year.

Probably not for his family, you asshole.

Not that I particularly think he was a saint - divorcing his wife at 65, remarrying and, as the DDP points out, having a daughter younger than her niece. Nothing to particularly warrant me wishing for his death and being happy about it though. Though I am in line for DDP and HDP points, so maybe I'll just shut up, but coming from your distorted perception of reality, comments like those seem much worse than they probably are.

Hmmm, on reflection, and after a quick read of the 2006 posts on this thread, this was a pretty poor miss by the DL Committee. Congrats to those in the DDP, CPDP, and anywhere else who picked him.

Another true "spirit of the DL" death. I pity the pall bearers.......

It's so hard to let it go. I'll let it go.

I had the same experience on a crowded train. I let it go too.
