Stevenson and wife Susan were honored and given lifetime paddock passes to IMSA races and artwork to honor a racing career at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship banquet and awards night in Braselton, Ga., just one week ago. Stevenson's team debuted in 2003, winning a total of 33 races across Grand-Am and IMSA competition. Sir Creep 7,011 Posted October 26, 2017 Gas Ronda, a star of the 1960s drag racing circuits in Southern California and a member of the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame, died Wednesday in Palm Desert. He was 91. Ronda died in his Palm Desert home at 6:35 a.m., his wife Nina said. While he suffered two strokes in 2014, in the last year he had battled cancer that had spread through his body, she said. Vague reports on Twitter about who it is (unconfirmed so I won’t repeat it here) and that he’s dead, apparently the tv direction replayed the crash which is not the gentlemanly way if there’s been a bad one like that.
