Ice Hockey Players

After the dismal showing by New Jersey Devils players in the Stanley Cup Finals, I have a feeling Martin Brodeur wishes he were out of the life picture (at least for a little while)

Detroit Red Wing fan favourite, Shawn Burr, has survived his 3-year battle with leukemia by, instead, dying from a fall in his home.

Edit: Sorry to the_engineer for repeating your post (I forum searched "Shawn Burr" prior to posting and nothing came up.) This post can be removed.

Pittsburgh Penguins' 26-year old defenseman Kris Letang is out for 6 weeks after suffering a stroke.

Apparently, he was born with a small hole in the wall of his ventricle- this kind of news is heart-breaking.

NHL legend, Gordie Howe, 86, has suffered a massive stroke.

Keith Olbermann gave a very heartfelt tribute to him on his show yesterday(IE not the kind for someone you except to live for years to come). Seems like a pretty good pick if he makes it to 2015.
