Laurent Gbagbo, not too thrilled at having to surrender. But, given the presence of UN troops in the area, it's probably done a lot for his ability to keep breathing.

He does face the prospect of doing that in Scheveningen.

regards,

Hein

President Bingu Wa Mutharika of Malawi, mentioned several times before on this thread, has been forced to deny rumours that he is dead. He is currently "on holiday" in Hong Kong.

There are some brilliant comments in that article. It's odd to see the English language used in conjunction with something completely different. For example:

Talking on the phone does not meen he is not in intensive care! A Malawi kupusa bwanji, lets take back our country, kodi where is the army, kupusa ndi chifukwa chake akuba amapita ku barracks kukaba ngombe chifukwa kuli zitsilu zokha zokha

:)

I think someone's been reading the Zsa Zsa thread:

He is also worse than a dog!!! Foolish! Tachionani mutu ngati cartoon. Callista akufuna anthu azitho Oti azitha kupanga wrestling, not a coward like the president.

DIE SOON!!! WISH YOU DIE THERE B4 you come here!!!

Oh, and a special mention for the young and healthy Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh of The Gambia, who recently announced that he would personally be curing AIDS and asthma without resorting to conventional medicine.

Freedom Online, "Gambia's Premier Online Newspaper", have exclusively revealed that President Jammeh is suffering from pancreatic cancer. Strangely no other media source has chosen to run with this disturbing news...

the one and only leader of Biafra has died http://www02.lasvega...af-obit-ojukwu/

At last, another DDP hit. My late attempt to regain my title is underway.... :birthday2:

What a relief, as I thought that was going to be my worst year ever in the competition, especially after last year's (freak) success

Consider yourself lucky. I'm still stuck on 1 hit...from 4th January!

France 1 reporting that he's died. That's gonna be the first points of the year for a lot of the DDP hopefuls in 2012.

EDIT:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-16473457 And here's your BBC obit.
