Death Anniversary Thread

Recommended Posts

In the ironic death anniversary category (please don't start another thread), Steve Irwin died this day 9 years ago aged 44.

Interestingly that date coincides with the beginning of the exploitation of his children, daughter Bindi in particular. Odd.

100 years ago Albert Spalding, who played a little pro baseball, then started up a sporting goods company to supply baseball etc for generations.

40 years ago actor John McGiver, who is quite memorable to me and hard to believe he's been gone since I was 12.

The only time I ever drank in the Waterloo boozer in Edinburgh , think it was because they had a big screen, ie more than 25".

We truly had thought that indeed he was immortal.
