    Lady Bird Johnson

At least she's still out and about... Mrs. LBJ looks better in the pic than I thought. She appeared to be alert. But she was still obviously frail and in a wheelchair. I would advise Deathlist to keep her on until the end, if nothing else given her age.

    Gerald Ford

Mr. Ford has less than 48 hours left before he breaks the record of Ronald Reagan for longevity. This appears to be very likely. However someone made the remark in an earlier post about him breaking Herbert Hoover's retirement record in 2008. I would have to disagree given the deteriorating health of Gerald Ford that he will last much longer now. I think he has held on just long enough to break the age record. It would not surprise me (especially after the massive defeat of his party in the 2006 election and the strain it is bound to give him) to hear of his passing in the next few weeks.

With this angioplasty it is now apparent that Ford and his family are putting up a good fight for him to stay alive. My guess is however that declining health such as this, he has no more than a few weeks left at the most.

I'm guessing we will probably hear something before the weekend. Not from the office, but from an outside source who may know something. This is the fourth hospital trip for this man in less than a year and something serious is obviously going on. Our next DL success may be just around the corner.

    Billy Graham

Here is a link to the article: Billy Graham Interesting article, I read it online. Billy does look really feeble in the picture and pale. The article also referred to him sleeping in a hospital bed at home. When someone sleeps in a hospital bed at that age, they ususally do not survive very long, especially with cancer. Let's keep an eye on him my friends.

It's August 10 and Lady Bird is still alive. Any news on her health?

    Lady Bird Johnson

According to the Smithsonian, Lady Bird Johnson is now the second longest lived former occupant of the White House after Bess Truman who died at 97 in 1982.

Mrs. Johnson was listed as an honorary palbearer at the funeral of former TX Sen. Lloyd Bentsen last week. Her daugter Luci was in attendance, but it is unclear whether her mother was actually at the funeral.

I'm thinking it might be Lady Bird Johnson or Charlton Heston. What are you guys thinking?

    Charles Lane

Mr. Lane is richly deserving of the honor. At his advanced age, it should be done ASAP while there is still time.

Nothing more since he left the hospital. Just watching and waiting at this point.

Gracie, my friend I am inclined to agree with you. Ford will likely die this year---------the next victim of Dick Cheney's gunfire, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

    Gerald Ford

Jimmy Carter appeared on Larry King Live again last night. King asked him how Ford was doing. Carter said he had talked to a Ford aide a little earlier in the day and that he(Ford) was 'doing as well as can be expected' and that he is at home. Carter seemed rather somber and became almost emotional talking about the friendship he and Ford have. Something just doesn't sound very optimistic.

Oh well, we have more than 11 months left. regards, Hein True, there's still a chance before Jan 1, 2007. Though I'd kinda like to see him make it through November just to break Ronnie's record.
