You've all read the reports. Our number 2 and 3 picks for the 2012 Deathlist are circling the drain and are in all likelihood mere hours from death and unless one of the 90+ picks decides to give up the ghost in the next few ours it's looking like they will be the 3rd and 4th hits.

Question is: Who will kick the bucket first?

Will it be Gibb, whose multiple cancers and pneumonia have put him in a coma?

Or will it be Megrahi, "breathing his last breath" and rapidly deteriorating?

I trust Megrahi about as far as I can throw a black box recorder. Part of me thinks he'll still be around to wave in 2013.

Like a Queen reunion with just the rhythm section and the corpse of Freddie Mercury, Gibb isn't going to see May.

I have faith in Al-Megrahi...even though the bastard is worth two less points for me now.

Going for Gibb. If he is already dead.. I heard that evening time is their favorite time to announce musical deaths because apparently its the best time of day to use an obit to boost record sales. Although its almost 10:30 in London.. Unless they wanna shoot for US sales.

Too true, but so many of us are quite interested to know who is going to get to the pearly gates first. With these queuing up nicely it makes me wonder if we could in fact get both within the same day. If that's the case then at least the time difference between Libya and the UK is minimal to avoid too many objections with regards to time zone complications.

But for me it's Robin Gibb's death next.

If past performance has any worth, I expect Al to be coffin dodging to the end, so Gibb it is.

I wouldn't mind if some other pips the post, though.

regards,

Hein

I know I could find this out myself with five minutes research, but has the DL ever had two hits on the same day before?

Yes. They were John Gielgud and Barbara Cartland, back in 2000.

I was just thinking the same thing.

About the only time my local dead pool has had a hit on the same day was when Dudley Moore and Milton Berle died on 27th March 2002

I just had a look at the list for 2002 and DL also had both Berle and Moore on the list.

1997 Banda & Bernard was a double day too. So that's three times so far.

Thats a hard one to call. Family gathering round both of them, one in a coma and the other at deaths door. People come out of coma's. Thats the reason I'm going for Megrahi.

His mum thinks they are cursed as this will be her third son she's buried.

I wouldn't say they're cursed...I'd say she's just lived too long.

Do you think she's 'famous' enough to include her on the 2013 list? (Assuming we dont all die in December this year)

She would definitely get a UK orbit .

They can also stay in a coma for a long time. Jackie Wilson was in a coma for 9 years until his death in 1984.

Both families are keeping a vigil and holding out hope they'll recover.

Are they right in their optimism or are we just living in a world of fools?

I hope Megrahi goes first.I hope Robin Gibb recovers because he's a good guy. Sadly I fear it will be the other way around though

I think Megrahi will last a little longer but I've got a feeling Gibb won't see the week out.

It's about as close as the finish of the National on Saturday. I hope al-Megrahi, because I still have to check how to spell it every time I post, and because I'd do better HPDP wise if he went first.

Robin. He might be in a coma but this is a cancer-related coma. And like many others here, even though I have him on my list, I don't trust al-Megrahi and friends. I think he'll hang on for a short while longer. Mugabe's a wild card
