    Larry King

king was a-n-c-i-e-n-t 30 years ago. how many remember his middle-of-the-night radio program, which filled the truckers' time nationwide for decades? king would cough like in consumption. last rites in order... speaking of MAKEUP. Nancy Reagan. Met her at the White House in '82...and she was warmed over...rouged death back then. Wouldn't bet against the Iron Lady in '07. Better odds on Ron or Patty.

    Tammy Faye Messner

Presume she bit the bullet since the last post, 2004? Boy, were they a strange pair in that Christian Fairyland just south of Charlotte, NC. Stopped by shortly after the Bakers were run off by the sherriff. And Jimmy is out of jail, and with his new wife, telivizing from Lake Ozarks/Branson, Mo. Still "Praising The Lord."

    Mary Travers

Uzed kids.... Not nice to trash us old folks. Especially those we really admire. PP&M were REALLY important in the early, mid-60s...I saw them many times in concert. And they'd perform before a crowd of 15,000 and then sit down informally on the floor with 30 or 40 teenagers/college kids and talk religion and politics. May Mary get well. May we not lose ALL the idealism reflected in their renditions of the Pete Seeger/Bob Dylan classics.

    Gerald Ford

Not to name drop tooooo much, but I chatted with Ford at his 'Presidential Museum' in Grand Rapids, Michigan for about 30 minutes...several years back. He is VERY infirmed; physically....but full of political predictions and savy. Just keep him off the golf course, and the driver out of his hand.

Hope I live so long... But he's definitely on his 'last legs.' Terrible look in recent photos.

    Failure Of The Death List?

Being in the States rather than UK, I'm a bit perplexed by the Death List. Lots of unknown names....and I'd think statistically....based on ages-at-death...at least 12 to 16 of these folks would "fall off" the list .....in a "good" year. Andy Griffith...the old fart will probably NEVER die. Jane Wyam, 94 Jackie Cooper Boris Yletsin

    Mickey Rooney

Mickey Rooney can't/could never act. His "adult" movie roles are painful to watch. Rooney is second only to Jerry Lewis for the "tales" trashing hotel rooms, blowing off bartenders and room maids. At least he'd had good taste in women -- maybe that's why he's still looking at thongs (sp?)
