Anna Wing

Saw Ms Wing is gathering support on DLs next year. Aside from her being 92 is there any up to date news on her health worth taking on board at this late stage?

Perhaps the shock of seeing her on-screen daughter cark it will see her off. :(

It would be nice if she could die on or before the 31st.

She has been removed from my 2007 team.

I think that Anna Wing who played Eastenders' matriarch Lou Beale from 1985 to 1988 is a definate possibility for 2007. I read recently that she's not been very well and on October 30th 2007 she reaches the grand old age of 93. True, she's a spring chicken when compared to the likes of Brooke Astor, but a definite possiblity in my book.

She was on Loose Women this afternoon, very entertaining and lucid. The old birds got a couple of years left in her for sure!

She's also on The Bill tonight on ITV1, between 8-9pm, so if anyone doesn't want to watch the football OR if the football gets too horrible to watch (quite possible) a bit of Wing-watching might be in order.

It's nice to see Anna Wing return on the list, after all these years. She seems to be our female Clive Dunn.

If I understand her Wikipedia entry correctly[1], there's little reason to expect her demise soon, though. Ok, she'll turn 96 this year and she got an MBE last year, which has a bit of the kiss of death nature, but she seems in good health otherwise.

[1] and if we are to trust that online encyclopedia, of course.

regards,

Hein

Looking at the IP who added it, I'm pretty sure it's just vandalism. He just edited 'Leon Jackson of off X Factor''s page to say he'd died, so, unless he's right on both accounts, it's just made up.

Never report someone dead using Wikipedia as a source. It's not reliable...

Is it me, or do those sketches look like two other completely different people?

we enjoyed a beautiful lunch prepared by Stephen

'Prepared' is a well-chosen word as it looks like he just opened a few packets from M&S or Waitrose

Truly one of the least exciting deaths of an actually famous, "mentioned on the evening news" person ever.
