'Looks' healthy? Could you post a recent picture Hoggie?

And when you do, could you post it in the proper thread? New Year, same old off-topic whoring.

I never thought I'd say this, but I agree with Star Crossed. How did a thread about Tim Johnson suddenly become a discussion on the current health status of Mollie Sugden? Male US senator....aging English female TV actress... hmmmmm there's a connection there, but I just can't place it

OK Star Crossed and Phantom, sustain an interesting conversation on Tim Johnson for us if you can. I nearly fell asleep just writing this.

There ain't really much news on Johnson at the moment apart from he's making a steady recovery. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZ But he's not completely off the danger list yet.

we could do with a "sleep" emoticon

I quite like the way this thread is going.

All it needs now is for it to be declared our common room and for someone to lock it.

At the risk of ushering in a New Age of apparent tolerance, I must agree with, and expand on Phantom's post just a little by once-again reiterating my usual mantra... if there's nothing worth discussing, don't discuss anything.

There are other, more appropriate threads for the chit-chat, especially the chit-chat concerning subjects of other threads. FFS, there's a whole forum for common-room antics now, so let's keep this thread on the Tim Johnson, shall we?

Statement from the Office of Senator Johnson:

U.S. Senator Tim Johnson (D-SD) underwent an angiogram this morning at George Washington University Hospital.

“Today’s angiogram revealed no evidence of residual arteriovenous malformation,” said Dr. Vivek Deshmukh, MD, neurosurgeon. “Senator Johnson continues to be responsive to both his family and physicians-- following commands, squeezing his wife’s hand, and understanding speech.”

Senator Tim Johnson underwent surgery for an intracranial hemorrhage caused by an arteriovenous malformation at George Washington University Hospital on December 13th. As a consequence of the initial hemorrhage, Senator Johnson developed fluid in his lungs. Doctors placed him on a ventilator to assist his breathing. "His breathing has steadily improved and now he only requires ventilator assistance at night," says Dr. Deshmukh.

“My family and I are so pleased with today’s angiogram results, and I want thank everyone for their constant prayers and support. Tim has had some challenging days since surgery, but step by step, he’s been making great progress. We know there is a long road in front of us, but Tim's determination will make all the difference and he’ll be back at work as soon as he can be. We ask that everyone keep us in their prayers,” said Barb Johnson, wife of U.S. Senator Tim Johnson.

Senator Johnson’s overall medical condition has improved steadily over the past three weeks. The next phase of his recovery is expected to take several months and focus upon rehabilitation and physical therapy.

Health now improving - condition upgraded to fair

Rehab to start soon for him too.

Ah well, that's one DL pick that won't be a success this year.

(...)

I'm not sure what people are looking for here. We could put Paris Hilton, Jade Goody and Britney Spears on the list (...) and we'd have picked the three most beautiful women in the whole world.

No Mollie Sugden he.

Were you suggesting that not the Hilton-tramp but Mollie Sugden is amongst the three best-looking women in the world? Not a very popular pick, I'd say.

No, I was making the point that he was nowhere near as famous as Mollie Sugden. I mean he doesn't even have a Bacon rating. So he's a senator, so what? And an increasingly healthy senator it seems. He should be on the "doing OK list." I hope someone sooner or later on the DL committee is going to own up to the Tim Johnson pick. Was it Cowboy Ronnie?

Incidentally I wouldn't swap Mollie for any of the aforementioned tarts. Mollie Sugden has class, and she looks after her pussy.

She has to, I won't do it for her.

So Tim Johnson has survived surgery and Deathlists hopeful approach to slip a quick one has failed. Well it's not the worst drag i've ever F*****g seen. But I don't think Roddy Roddy Piper is going anywhere. And Fidel Castro isn't dead yet. If he dies anytime soon.

It figures. But something will make up for it.

Perhaps he will be hit by a truck as he leaves hospital.

I'm surprised Johnson actually made it on the list, we would have had a much better chance by putting Art Buchwald on there

Everyone was suprised. I guess the possibility of him getting struck by lightning is about one out of ten thousand, but maybe if a few of Deathlists atheists convert to prayer we might be struck with everlasting luck.
