    Sir Patrick Moore

I was at that Star Party in London (interviewed on the show) and Sir Patrick is as sharp as a knife and was filming/chatting for more than 12 hours. It'll be the body that goes before the mind but he's clearly got a heart like a trip hammer too. Glad he's not on the list this year - he'll be a big loss to us astrophoners/xylonomers one day. A smashing chap to boot.

    Zsa Zsa Gabor

Perhaps the Prinz was right about her wanting another baby and she's actually gone into labour!

    Zsa Zsa Gabor

Very unsporting of you Forty. Like Megrahi and Clive Dunn, she's just drawing out the inevitable to give us some fun.

    Ronnie Biggs

Yes! Compassionate release adds year to your life expectancy. More's the pity.

Sod the whys and the wherefors. If he croaks within 21 days I'm on for a free slap-up meal at Gaucho's in Sloane Square! Saying that, 'dead within a couple of months' prompted a Methusulan comeback that lasted for over a year, so 'dead within days' probably means he'll linger on for a month or two.

    Eli Wallach

While far from sprightly, he was plodding comfortably along with a few lines of brief dialogue in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps too.

    Kim Jong-Il

KJI was looking decidedly (read: disappointingly) sprightly on the BBC today. His lad (and heir) looks a right biff though.

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2011

On that point, I saw Nicholas Parsons in Glasgow a few months ago and he looked like utter shite (quite unlike his sprightly and avuncular media persona). Rather post-stroke-esque I would say by the way we was struggling to keep up with his (very) young male dinner guest as they left the hotel restaurant. Saying that, I saw Sir David Frost on a train in 2002 and remarked on how he looked like the proverbial warmed up (not to him, that would have been uncouth) and he still hasn't done the descent thing eight years hence. The Parsons is my hot tip for 2011 though.

    Pope Benedict XVI

5 men arrested today for a terrorist plot to kill the Pope. The IRA once said said, 'We only have to be lucky once. You will have to be lucky always'.

    The Sixth Death Of 2010

David Niven tells a funny story in one of his contrived novels about sneaking through Zsa Zsa Gabor's window. I've forgotten the punchline but I do know that she will be the next to keel over. (Oh crap, I the unlikely event that she gets murdered before Mr Reaper visits her naturally, I've just framed myself.)

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2011

I know that there's another thread for this now but Christopher Hitchens has to be a contender for next year's list - if he survives this year. http://inewp.com/?p=4516. People with oesophageal cancer have a 3% chance of living 5 years and Mr Hitchens' has metastasised to his lymph nodes. One of the few people that I will not say "Jolly good" of when he does pop off.

    Zsa Zsa Gabor

Then again, she could surprise us! I had believed her to be a goner back in July when she was first admitted to hospital, But realistically speaking, she'll probably be dead by next week at the latest-I predict next Tuesday. Anybody else care to share their own predictions? At this year's sorry motality rate, I suspect she's got a few years left in her.

BP is also responsible for global warming, the hole in the o-zone, paedophilia and Anthea Turner... Anthea Turner? The bastards.
