Phillips was one of those self destructive types that make you think "I should have known" when you hear of his passing.

Former Arizona Cardinals personnel executive George Boone died Sunday at age 77, the team announced on Thursday.

Boone spent 28 season with the Cardinals, serving as assistant player personnel director from 1968-72, director of player personnel from 1973-91 and later as a scout from 2001-05.

Now I know my British pals don't care a rat's ass about the NFL, but this, just before the last playoff game before the Super Bowl! It's kismet, bet the farm on Arizona to win it all.

The Cardinals V Panthers game will most likely be postponed due to the storm that's hitting that part of the country.

He chose the right to go, didn't he? Super Bowl 50 day!

I can understand why a composer would choose to give up on life knowing he'd have to listen to fucking Coldplay at halftime.

Joe Kapp (mentioned here by Windsor http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=7756&p=165775), who played for Calgary Stampeders, BC Lions as well as the Minnesota Vikings, announces he has Alzheimers. http://www.fox9.com/news/86955979-story

Edit: In passing, perhaps I should mention that Angelo Mosca who had the fist fight mentioned in Windsor's post is also still alive and reportedly also has Alzheimers. http://www.thestar.com/sports/football/2015/02/27/sports-giant-angelo-mosca-copes-with-alzheimers.html

Bruce DeHaven is the Carolina Panthers special teams coach, a role he had with the 49ers from 2000 to 2002, as well as on the Buffalo Bills from 1986 to 1999 during their run to four straight Super Bowls. He has late stage prostate cancer that typically leaves 3-5 years to live. So keep his name in mind for 2018-2020. He's coached in 6 Super Bowls.....he will obit.

You know........

I did a TON of research for team Gris Gris (DDP theme) and let's just say it's damn near impossible to discover all these nobodies. I rest assured I entered 'John/Jon/Johnny Johnson/Johns/John' probably a dozen times and NEVER did this 98-year old asshole pop up. As the GM of team Gris Gris, I say on behalf of the team, Fuck him!

Former NFL defensive end Gary Jeter, the fifth overall pick in the 1977 NFL Draft, died this week at age 61. The cause and exact date of death were not known for Jeter, who leaves behind his wife and four daughters. Multiple reports say Jeter died Thursday but the NFL Players Association says Jeter died Wednesday.

Reminds me of the opening paragraph to Camus' 'The Stranger'.

Former Vanderbilt University football Coach George McIntyre died after a 20-year fight against Multiple Sclerosis.

But of NOTE just below that sentence is THIS gem:

"This week former Vanderbilt and Chicago Bears quarterback Bill Wade died. Both men had been living in the same assisted living facility.

I first saw Wade at a Billy Graham crusade in my hometown of Johnson City. I was a young kid, but I instantly liked Wade and the message he gave that night."

Now that isn't just kismet my friends! I suggest you ALL go back and switch your votes for 5th death of 2016 to Graham. IT'S A SIGN!
